The goaltending situation in the Penguins organization has been interesting in the last few days, so let's do goalie by goalie notes, starting at the top.
But the facts are the facts. In a dramatic departure from the franchise's recent history, the Penguins are winning with offense, not defense, this season.
As was noted when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins played the 1,000th game in franchise history Friday night, it's unusual for an AHL team to have the same parent club for 13 straight seasons.
I'll update with the result of tonight's game in a little while, but for now, I'm in an Auld Lang Syne kind of mood.
