Doug Janik leaves Red Wings organization, signs with German team Adler Manheim

Defenseman Doug Janik is headed to Europe. After spending three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Janik has signed a one-year contract with German team Adler Mannheim, the team's website announced today .
