McClelland interested in coaching Thunder
Kevin McClelland, a proven winner as a coach in the Central Hockey League and a four-time Stanley Cup champion as a player, said on Monday evening that he is interested in the Wichita Thunder's vacant coaching position.
The Thunder knows that Jay Henderson, a veteran forward who will soon join the team, can provide a winning attitude.
The urgent dispatch came over general manager Joel Lomurno's radio late in the third period: Winners in the Wichita Thunder's jersey auction were tardy reporting to the tunnel to line up for their prizes.
Some of the same reasons why leaving Northern Colorado was so hard for Erik Adams have made it so easy to adapt to a new team in Texas.
