Young players dominate Marlies' lineup entering 2009-10 season
Ben Ondrus is feeling a little older than he'd like to. The Toronto Marlies captain is still only 27 but, surrounded by so many young teammates, he can't help but feel like the years are starting to blur.
Kadri continues to make his case
The kid sure is stubborn. Maple Leafs rookie Nazem Kadri tied the game late in the third before scoring the shootout winner Tuesday as Toronto beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2. Even though coach Ron Wilson has made it clear the first-rounder is a longshot to crack his roster this season, Kadri continues to do everything he can to impress.
The Maple Leafs roster is taking shape, before the finished product heads to a Northern Ontario retreat prior to the start of the regular season.
