Valley fever possible in teenager's death
Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:43 a.m. A Chula Vista High School student who had just been accepted into the Air Force Academy has died after a two-week battle with what may have been valley fever, a dust-borne lung disease.
PV volleyball earns No. 1 seed in Division II playoffs
The Pleasant Valley High girls volleyball team earned the No. 1 seed for the Northern Section Division II playoffs when the brackets were released Friday, and will host fourth-seeded Shasta at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals.
