Sixteen years ago, the legendary Avalanche Bar on W. Wells St., on the Marquette University campus closed its doors for good.

One of the top football players in the City getting water and carrying towels? One of the state's top long and triple jumpers picking up warm-ups and handling all the unsung work that comes with being a team manager? And doing so where everyone could see him? You bet.
