Sleeping solo....definitely good! My husband started to regularly snore a couple of years ago. At first I just dealt with being woken up 7 or 8 times a night by it...but after awhile I noticed severe changes in ME due to the lack of sleep. I begged him to figure out the problem but he wrote it off to me "being a light sleeper". Funny after 17 years of marriage I SUDDENLY became a light sleeper. Sooo, I said enough is enough....I moved out of the bed and I can tell you what a difference a full night's sleep makes. So sleeping solo...thumbs up!

Amen to the sleeping solo. Snoring is not conducive to a good nights sleep.

My ex-wife would complain all the time that I snored. Turned out I had severe sleep apnea and never realized it could kill me. Now I have a machine that helps me breath. I don't snore, I don't have someone waking me up several times a night, I sleep like a baby and it's helping me with my weight loss. I should have traded the wife for that machine a long time ago!

Solo is good, as long as you visit each other from time to time.

1 I have pretty bad restless leg syndrome and I end up moving around alot at night. He snores and grinds his teeth, and also likes to throw elbows during the night. Sleeping in different rooms has really been a benefit to us. And he keeps all of his toys (PS3, xbox 360-those manly toys) in the room he sleeps in so it isn't cluttering the tv in the family room. |

can somebody help me with my issue...I can't really sleep every time I lie on bed..It usually takes me 2-3 hours before falling asleep even though my eyes are closed. It seems like everytime I close my eyes when Im about to sleep, everything runs on my mind- everything I did on the same day and it just makes me sick.. Do I have a sleep disorder issue?
thanks you very much. |

Truth be told it was my ex-wife snored very loudly when she layed on her back.I strongly perfer solo. The reason we got divorced wasn't because of her snoring. She was a cheater, not a sleeper.

I want the big bed, all the blankets, nice smelling sheets, I want to read late, not get kicked, hear a bunch of barking.
I like to move around, eat, drink, ipod, cell calls, etc. It's better for everyone. Any hanky Panky do it the other bed |

jennifer, i don't sleep much, but over the years have learned some tricks....try two Excedrin PM's before laying down, as they have a high sleep aid content and can help immensely...

This used to happen to me everyday, we're talking years of bad sleep, i started getting worried and googling, anyhow i ended up finding out some interesting information. Start going to bed earlier, for one, just start the process earlier. Don't sit in front of the tv until you get tired - you never will, pick a bedtime and stick to it. Start getting more exercise, you can literally wear yourself out, it's very helpful. Eat regularly and healthy, avoid sugar/calorie spikes. If none of those work, see a doctor |

I get ready to go to sleep and I start reading a good book until my eyes get heavy. Works like a charm. |

Hey Jennifer, I do the same thing but I'm getting better. I use my ipod (radio would do, on low). Think your prob is your not able to relax your mind. I replay everything but what I've been doing is saying OUT. Over & over I'll say to myself, Get out of my brain, relax, in seconds I'm thinking about stuff again. So, I have to keep saying it over and over. But it works some, so I keep doing it. I just need to stop replaying all the daily elcrapo. Need to let it go. I say that also, let it go! I really don't think you have a real sleep disorder. You may just have a tough time relaxing your body and mind. Tons of books on the subject and sleeping pills (don't always work and come with another set of problems). You need a way of talking your self out of or down from your daily problems. Good Luck, it's not easy. |

Jennifer,
Daily problems??? I wanted to say, your daily stuff, tasks, job, everything, etc. Because I think of everything that happen during the day. Even talking to my grandkids on the phone, I'll think about. |
