The Mayo clinic is wonderful organization, but do they have the statisics to back this up? If not, it is stereoptyping and if so, it would be pertinent to the article to quote them. Same with rates of alcoholism. When a large and prestigious organization makes a true statement about any minority based on a statistic, political and public-relations prudency requires a source or at least a footnote pointing to one. To fail do to so is bad press. |

I agree with you, but the medical profession has a long history of making psychological statements without supporting evidence. |
