i have struggled with this issue ongoing for years. no matter what, i cannot stop outbreaks. it seems every time i go out and drink and stay out late i wake up with one starting. try zyroxin. it works well for me. keep it around so that right when you feel one starting you can apply it and stop it then. i have bought the one from cvs pharmacy as well and it works. they call their generic version "cold sore relief" this is the first OTC product ive found thats ever really helped me.

I currently have one. I typically take Valtrex (prescribed by doctor) as soon as I feel the tingling. I also take lysine and denavir (which is a cream prescribed by doctor) and typically the cold sores are shortened and to a less effect. I could not make it to get my prescriptions in time so I have one

Genital herpes symptoms will show within two weeks of the initial infection. The first sign will be the itching and reddening of the skin, which will lead to the formation of blisters. These blisters are usually painful and will not disappear for as long as two weeks. This is the time that the infection is highly contagious. Infected persons
should refrain from having sexual contact because they can pass on the virus to their partners. A person should seek medical attention immediately as soon as the genital herpes symptoms manifest in the body.People with genital herpes should stay away from sunlight as much as possible. Too much exposure to the sun can irritate the skin further. Unscented bath and hygiene products should be used during treatment. A patient should wear loose clothing made of natural fabric such as cotton. Medications such as ibuprofen and aspirin can be taken to lessen the pain. Patting the irritated skin with cool, clean cloth can also soothe pain and discomfort. Infected persons should always wash their hands all the time and they should avoid touching the mouth or the eyes after touching the sores. People who are having these symptoms should consult accredited herpes specialists at http://simplestdtesting.com/herpes-tests.html to be able to make sure whether these symptoms are due to herpes or other illness. It is necessary to discuss the condition with a doctor for possible treatments and medications. |

You can also try...
1) Ice cubes 2) alcohol to help swelling and dry it up Finally, GARLIC. It works, I too have been getting them for awhile, I read somewhere about garlic and you place it right on. The first time I did not have garlic so tried garlic salt and it helped to dry it up quick and shrink it on the 1-2 day. But try regular garlic try to break it up and place right on your lip. |
