This is a good thing that they are setting up an Epilepsy Support Group in Georga to bring awarness to the disorder.
But look at what it took to put this on the table. 3 prominent people (one of which died from his seizure) to have the goverment to wake up to the need for support
But this is only one group in one community. Groups are needed in as many communities in each state as can be set up.
I have had Epilepsy all my life & was part of a support group until the United Way yanked our funding.
I have sence lost three close friends dirrectly due to having an Epiletic seizure.
But let me make this statment so as not to mis-lead you.
Death resulting from a seizure is rear, it does happen more often then it should.Awarness of this condition & how to help durring a seizure are vital, but either people are terrified by them & freak out., or they administer the wrong first aid.
So, yes we need support geroups & more education about Epilepsy.
But the biggest problem is people not wanting to be educated about it.
