how were they warned last week cause most residents are clueless..till today. 1 week unreported? how many will suffer at a price?

Doesn't the Daily democRAT make you proud
I'm with you nobody, as one of those residents that was clueless I'm wondering the very same thing.
The public service commision should look into this. If the water was tested on the first, why were we not notified until the 8th???
While they are at it, they could look at my bill and see the charge for energy that is still being assessed, last time I checked the price of oil is down. |

I called Morningstar and they told me that they have been broadcasting this on the radio stations this whole time. If they did, I sure missed it because I never heard a word.
I found out yesterday and I live in the development where they first found it!
WHY DID THEY WAIT TILL THE 8th NOT LAST WEEK?
I HAVENT GOTTEN SICK! WHEN THIS WILL BE OVER> |

I hope you did not take offence to the word clueless i ment no disrespect. |
Not at all nobody, I knew what you meant, but thank you. |
You'll love this, Morningstar is telling the Environment Department that they hand delivered notices to all the residents. Did anyone get a hand delivered notice?
and now i can not get morningstar to answer the phone..i was never notified by notice, call etc. first i heard of it was today. does anyone know if the refrigerator filter system would filter out the bacteria?

I called them the minute I found out this morning, which I heard thru a family member calling me and they don't even have this water. The lady there told me that they told the radio stations on Friday the 3rd about the problem and that the users needed to boil there water. I have not heard it on the radio at all, nor did I get a letter hand delivered or mail to me. My question is why didn't they send a letter when they sent our water bill, we got those after the 1st? If you have an Reverse Osmosis system, do you still have to boil the water? What about animals, can't they get sick?
I also use Morningstar water and was never contacted. I tried to call and pay my water bill today and no one would answer so i went to the office. I walked in and told them i needed to pay my water bill and was never told about this, just that i needed to put my payment in the red box outside. I also wonder if this can make my animals sick so i called a local vet and they said they should be fine. This is very upsetting that it went on for so long before we were notified and it had to be thru the paper.
I received my water bill but sure haven't seen no letters or notices, heard it on the 5AM news this morning not from the morningstar water users. we pay our bill and deserve to know when the water is tainted |
how about a class action
law suit to get their attention |
With all the contaminations now days, comon sence is to protect yourself's. I've been boiling my water for the past 5 years.
perhaps i was too quick to suggest a law suit. we should write their home office in chicago. also i did not receive a notice.
So let me get this straight. If they find E. Coli in a bag of lettuce, it makes the national news and every bag is quickly pulled off the shelves. In Farmington we have E. Coli in the water system and they wait almost a week to inform us?
From my experience, there was no "immediate" notification. It sounds like they aren't taking much action besides re-sampling until they feel better about the "isolated" incident. |

So I never heard anything as well, a friend called me forst thing this morning July 9th to tell me she seen it on the NEWS that we needed to boil our water. My self and my baby have been sick for a week now. I am not sure if this is anything to do with the E Coli in the water or what. I am very upset most of all because I was not told sooner about this problem and here all along we where drinking the water. I have called Morning Star all morning and afternoon have not been able to get anyone on the line ???? Hmmmmm Also I have had alot of sewage problems where I live on the Mesa and they keep coming out and telling me they have to get a PERMIT to dig up my yard to fix it. OK When it has been 4 months since the last time they came out to my house. There is alot going on here and it is very scary. This PROBLEM needs to be fixed as well as any SEWAGE problems anyone has.
