My mother is what I consider a Breast Cancer Survivor, though "technicaly" she is living w/breast cancer in her bones. She was 1st diagnosed in 1995, had a lumpectomy, radiation, and Tamoxifan. Later a hysterectomy w/oopherectomy. Shortly after the 5 year "survivor" mark, her blood platlet count kept dropping, after much testing, it was discovered that she had "breast cancer" cells in her bone. Oh God, not metastasis.... 6 years ago all the statistics I read gave her a 16.6% chance of surviving 2 years.... It's 6+ and still counting. We are wittnessing a "miracle" daily. I believe that miracle to be Arimidex and prayer! She gets a bonescan every 6 mo. there is no more/no less cancer it is just stopped in it's tracks!!! My mother is very active and hasn't let this slow her down in any way/shape/or form. She is always looking for somthing new, a "First". Last weekend she went Mt.Biking for the 1st time!!! She is a Survivor!!

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 6 months after my younger sister (48 yrs) was diagnosed with Colon Cancer..She passed away after 2 yrs..I had a lumpectomy and radiation. Did not take the Tamoxifan. Then my brother at 60 was diagnosed with a brain tumor and passed away within the year..6 months later, a very dear friend passed away at only 26 with a brain tumor..Two years ago my dad passed away at 86..but not from cancer..
This all took place in the last 7 years..
I"m still here, and cancer free. I care for my elderly mom and have been married for 45 years..
I always maintain a positive outlook, and keep active. I"m not 65 yet...but I am a survivor.

Daily Horoscope for February 9

Taurus

Mercury the messenger moves into your sign today, so you'll have a lot to say for yourself in the weeks ahead. You'll be inclined to go into action at the drop of a hat. Communicate clearly and be ready for new ideas. You're likely to change your mind about something several times and this process will build up pressure right to the end of the month, when a major change of mind or heart is in the stars for you.
