USC study: Cancer deaths for state's blacks top national average

Blacks are more likely to die of cancer than whites in the Palmetto State and at rates well above the national average, University of South Carolina officials said Tuesday, announcing new findings that mirror other studies on racial disparities in cancer cases.

The reason for this can be blamed solely on the racist mentality of cancer. Cancer has the ability to make itself less of a killer in white people. I am hoping that the ACLU will soon get involved and file a lawsuit against cancer.

Hope you are joking. But the reason why Blacks have a high death rate is because of inadequate access to proper health care (including screening for prostate, breast, and endometrial cancers) and lack of education about the disease. These two points eventually leads to delayed diagnosis and reduced prognosis.
