TOPIX ate half my post again.

Excuse me, but do you have a SOURCE for these "facts" you're posting about the group YOU call by the name "Anti"?

look at the number of posts I have made. I have post many many links. You people do not look at them. I have had you people tell to post a link and right there in the reply is the link. So what link would you like to see. Maybe the one where a car puts out 7.7 tons of pollution a year and there are 214 million cars on the road.#00 million people in this country. Do the math and you will find each and every person in this country gets to breath 33 pounds of pollution a day or 6 tons a year.
Did you read where Scotland heart disease increases with the the increase of cars. I can post that link to for you not to read.

Thank the high havens for tobacco killing 6 million people. Just think how much worse rush hour traffic would be with those 6 million people still on the road.

I see Discusseded came back to post again but has STILL not been able to find those "studies" he claims show significant circulatory damage from "very low levels of ETS exposure."

Why am I not surprised?

Let's see how TOPIX handles tables. Here are some smoking stats for the last half century or so. Not entirely what I'd expected.

Did you notice that from 2004 to 2007, the years when most smoking bans started multiplying, that the actual percentage of smokers went UP? That would be expected since in Ireland in the years since the draconian smoking bans, the percentage of smokers increased by 4%. That was the largest increase in many years. It also follows that in the UK the percentage of smokers increased following the ban. I guess it is safe to assume that smoking bans increase smoking....not surprising.

Yeah, I figured pretty well in advance just who would jump in with abuse instead of accepting information provided at face value. Go ahead and "stomp your feel" all you want.

Personally, I wondered why the rates for black smokers began above, fell below, then rose above those for white smokers.

Yes I did notice. There have also been reports of smoking rising in the youth groups, I suppose its all the smoking advertising from the anti smokers. There was a news report for something done in a class room and covering the front of the teachers desk was the big circle with a big cigarette in it for the kids to look at all day. Perhaps big tobacco should thank them for making such a big deal of smoking..you know how kids are

Probably the talk from your side and all the press on the menthol ban talk in the last couple of years that targeted black smokers.

You encourage smoking, but it's no surprise as it lines your coffers.

Your type defines the word hypocrite. Perhaps the word was even invented with your type in mind.

Went "up"? From 20.9% to 20.8%?

It only went up in male smokers and in black smokers.

What, smoke get in your eyes, or did your e-cigarette give you a shock treatment?

Typical trio of mental defectives. One states a false premise, another jumps on board, and pretty soon the discussion is of why it happens and what it means that it happens--instead of any of you noticing that it DOESN'T happen.

Truth by decree, and smokers' consensus. the "caca-us" system at work.

All the way from 20.9% to 20.8%, for the "actual percentage of smokers".

Of course, the fact that this is a negative effect clearly doesn't mean anything to you and/or yours, as long as you can get away with claiming it is otherwise.

Well made case you got there. NOT

The sight of people smoking arouses feelings of superiority in me, which I really enjoy. It immediately tells me that I'm healthier, that I'll live longer, that I can run/hike/climb/ride -- faster/farther/harder, and that I have greater willpower and strength of character.
Keep smoking. It's amazing for my self esteem.
This over-the-top post was unquestionably written for provocation. I can't believe people are taking this guy's bait.
