Ft. Hood Gunman's Religion Raising Question About Motive

The religion of a mentally disturbed person is not relevant as to why the person would commit mass murder. Mental illness is not exclusive to a particular religion. There are disturbed people of all faiths.

It's all the fault of that "cop killer" gun that he bought. It must have a magical dark spell cast upon it that makes people snap and kill cops or military personnel.

ISLAM is the key to all these killing. None of these killings was done by any other religion.
There is a sect in Islam that believes it's all right to do these type killings.
Everyone is trying to excuse this Major for what he did. He wasn't mentally disturbed. He knew what he was doing.

If you and I were in the military and made some of the remarks and internet posting, this Major made, we would be in jail or a least thrown of the military. Why wasn't he? It seems that Islam get a pass in our society where other religions don't. This has to stop!

Not all Muslims are terrorists and not all terrorists are Muslims. What was done was more than killing soldiers, it has brought undeserved attention on soldiers who are Muslim, and who are actively engaged in fighting the mentality of both the enemy of the US and having to prove their loyalties to their fellow citizens.
This Major, was a coward. He killed unarmed people. He is more than a common criminal as he wore the same uniform of those he targeted. His past history highlights the problems the military has to contend with in the name of political correctness. Had he made the same statements about the War and the desires for other Americans to be killed and had been other than Muslim, he would receive more than a negative evaluation, he would have been charged. The fact he was Muslim, he was given a transfer to another Command to deal with.

He should be fairly treated and tried under the UCMJ. And if found guilty I would hope he would hang by the neck until dead.

The feds knew what he was going to do because they wanted him to do it.

Many people who apply for ROTC don't get accepted. Hasan got accepted AFTER the WTC attack. Many caucasians who apply for a commission are rejected (unless your dad is H.W. Bush). Rumor also has it he got bad fitness reports, so how is it he got promoted to Major (a total of three promotions)?

That applies even more so if you are a commissioned officer.

Remember what America did to Japanese/Americans after Pearl Harbor ?

Why didn't Hasan just desert if he wanted to avoid the Middle East. I would guess that many Middle East ethnic people serving in the military would enjoy a tour there (unless you're infantry).

Consider the timing of this rampage and the Generals asking Obama for more troops.

You are 100% right, because this Major was a Muslim, he was shipped to another command to deal with. The officers that did that and did not do there job and are partly responsible for this.
I hope the military learns something from this. Treat everyone the same. Muslim or non-muslim.

The military is desperate for doctors, so they get treated with kid gloves.

I find it hard to believe they allowed this guy into the military (as an officer), given what happened on 911. They knew he was a nutjob from the beginning (that's why they let him in).

So millions of Muslims, including American born Muslims are BAD Muslims because they refuse to murder infidels ?

Not by my measure. I think that it is wonderful that they are able to see past the hate and violence of their Holy Book and realize that in the civilized world, those sort of actions get you ostracized or killed.
