RYDER CUP: Paul McGinley, the European captain, has arranged for Celtic Manor, venue for the Wales Open in a fortnight, to be set up identically to Gleneagles to help the likes of Stephen Gallacher, Lee Westwood and Jamie Donaldson prepare for the Ryder Cup. Scott Fenwick and Jim McKenzie, the two men in charge of the courses at Gleneagles and Celtic Manor respectively, were asked by McGinley to try to get their venues almost identical to each other in terms of green speeds, rough variances and run-offs.
