She'll need one of her strongest Sunday rounds to get anywhere near Lorena. Too bad, she started Thurs so well.
Anyways, hope Michelle, and everyone else plays well Sunday.

I have followed Michelle since she came on the scene but I'm afraid I have to give up on her. The talent is there but talent alone is not enough to be a winner. I takes a strong desire, a strong heart and a strong mind, all of which seem to missing in Michelle. There is no way to know for sure, but I think this was all brought about by her early handling. She never had the chance to learn how to win. C'est la vie.

Lasvegaslou----I agree with your statement. She missed all the amatuer tournaments early in her career where you do learn how to win i.e. mental stability, course management etc etc. But, she did live in Hawaii and the expense to travel to the 'mainland' had to be costly for her parents. She did start out successful in her Pro career, although no wins, but then the injury, questionable pull out of a tournament, playing two days later, showing some disrespect to the LPGA and saying she felt she had nothing to apologize for. She was not very popular with LPGA players and fans. That being said, I think all that is now 'water under the bridge', both from a lot of the fans and the LPGA players. To be successful in sports, especially individual sports, one has to, basically, live and sleep about the sport. Wie is not nor will she be concentrating 100% on golf until she quits/graduates college. Her college career has to be on her mind and because of that she is not able to focus 100% on golf. But, when she wins her first tournament, and realizes how she did it, I think the dam will open although I do not think she will dominate the Tour like Annika and Lorena has since there are so many great players now on the LPGA tour. She will be a force but I don't think anybody will dominate the tour in 2010 and behond.
