Women's Cross Country Set for Big Ten Preview

After two weeks off from competition, the first-ranked University of Michigan women's cross country team will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday to compete in the Big Ten Preview. The women's non-scoring 6K race will begin at 8 a.m. CDT, followed by the men's race at 8:30 CDT, at Ashton Cross Country Course.

Having already made major history with the lowest ever round, South Korean teenager Hyo-Joo Kim enhanced her reputation by beating Australian veteran Karrie Webb by one shot on Sunday to win the Evian Championship and become the third youngest major winner at 19 years, 2 months. Kim trailed the 39-year-old Webb by one shot heading into the final hole.
