I believe she built the school there because it was needed. No government officials in there to mess with her ciriculam or budget. She'll run it as she does her own business. Very successful.

Give the woman a break. She works hard and gives back large. A classic example of the American Dream on all levels.

Oprah is not racist. Only whites can be racist. That's the way the unwritten rule works.

Oprah forgets where her money is being made. It certainly isn't South Africa.

I make a living in Canada but have no problem sending money to any relief/charity fund worldwide (Katrina, Tsunami, Famine, Aids).

The people that are sending their dollars to Oprah back her for a reason. She really can get people motivated for causes. They believe in her ability to accomplish.

The untold part is that Oprah's contribution to her own charities is totally tax deductible. With an income of $150,000 million a year Oprah's tax bill would be enormous. This experiment failed to verify the longstanding liberal lie that discrimination was the culprit and verified the conservative dogma of personal responsibility, work ethic, clean and moral living, and striving for success through sacrifice and steadfastness. The results were swept under the rug.

Oprah is money smart. She's not going to throw more money down that rat hole. She's also not going to alienate her liberal constituency by exposing one of their cherished beliefs as fraudulent.

what a selfish and uneducated comment that oprah is using her charities as a tax break. she is doing good for people who can not help themself and are less fortunate than we are. They are a product of their circumstances and she is changing that. Give this amazing person the credit she deserves and find somthing better to do than put down and question her motives. As for her draining the IRS, i think not! She is claiming benifits she deserves and unless you have a copy if her finaces do not make a judgement so quickly. I ask you this, what have you ever done for someone who is in a situation that is not as good as yours....?

Yeah what ever oprah is really great and amazing and she is doing the right thing with her money she is a great person and you are just stupid to think that. I mean look at all the other stuff shes dne do a little rsearch and dthen tll us what you think. I mean she has all this money that she could be using for herself but instea she i using it on underprivliged people, chidren that have been abuse, she has even built a school in south Africa.
