I am not removing sanctions giks, the EU is.'The sanctions were originally imposed a decade ago in response to human rights abuses and political violence' Sanctions remain on mugabe. It would not be right to remove sanctions put on someone for such serious crimes against his own people.

itsan EU 'punishment' giks. Put in place to make tyrants think twice about the wsdom of killing their own people. It seems that since then there have been improvements in Zimbabwe like power sharing for example. So sanctions have worked to improve the lot of Zimbabwean citizens.

ask the thousands (millions) of people from Africa, Asia and beyond why they wish to come and live in Europe. Its their choice giks. We must have something here that they like. Maybe having governments that do niot oppress and inflict pain are partly the reasons giks. Also the Zimbabwean leaders (other than one) have expressed joy that the sanctions are lifted. Ask them giks why its good. Only you see any advantage in prolonging sanctions on the good people. But then you are not African - its impossible.
