Maybe it's not Bush, but certainly it's the president's job to wake them up even if he's not directly responsible. At some point it would be good to get around to targeting al Qaeda and stop killing Iraqis.

If it doesn't concern their gas tank or wallet they don't care who gets killed. USS Cole happened in 2000. American's didn't care then and they don't care now. Just a sad commentary on the state of patriotism. Patriotism has been replaced by "What's in it for me" and "Where's my check" and " Who can I blame for my problems?"
