Jamie Auffenberg is SMARTER than all you suckers. He was making MILLIONS a year and instead of paying like the rest of us, he figured he was too smart to have to pay. Yep, he's a sneaky one. I for one would never purchase a car from this guy - he's trash.

I hate taxes, I hate Obama's nanny state, but damnit this was never about politics. It was always about a greedy grasping stingy sleezeball trying to get more.

If the Keystone cops that lost this case don't pursue civil remedies against this guy they are guilty of dereliction of duty.

This case was bought and paid for by St Croixs own renegade lawyer, Lee Rohn. If the feds really wanted Auffenberg (who I agree is scum) they should look no further than the jury that was tampered with....business as usual for Ms Rohn...

You guys don't know what you're talking about. This whole deal stems from an economic development program that St. Croix and other Virgin Islands have to attract high net worth individuals. They're not scum for taking advantage of it any more than you are scum for taking a deduction for mortgage interest paid on your taxes. You don't like the rules? Change 'em, but don't lambast people just because they play the game the way the rules are written.

This case was another case of people with money BUYING the decision.(not guilty) It's sad..."It is better to be rich and guilty, than poor and innocent."

I don't know about the case against Mr. Auffenberg but I just bought a car from his O'Fallon dealer, and the car is under warranty and I have experience problems before I had made my first payment. We have taken it back to the service center and they refused to hook the car up to a diagnostic machine. We have taken it back to the dealer 3 times in the few months since we purchase the vehicle. The customer service is bad, until they personnel walked away from my husband during the conversation. I am so sad that we purchased this vehicle.
