What is the advantage of being a U.S. territory?

the advantage of being a territory is that everyone born in American Samoa has access to the mainland U.S.. it is also a blessing to all the surrounding islands such as Western Samoa who always talk bad about little Am. Samoa yet still desire to came to American and use US dollars. they are probably trying to make Am. Samoa decolonize throught the U.N. the fact is American Samoa was a territory before the U.N. existed. that should solve wars not American Samoa!!!!!!!!!!

I believe in positive change that starts with "Yes, we HAVE and WILL" (rather than "Yes, we CAN").

You might want to update your geographic "knowledge" because the nation of Samoa has not been known as "Western Samoa" since 1997!

Oh lord! Not another one! Independence is the one that has been buried and way before the 80's. If Puerto Ricans didn't have loyalty to the USA, then they'd stay right on the island... not join the army.. and most certainly wouldn't make use of all the benefits. PR has had many opportunities during both the Spanish and American rule. Face it! PR will sooner or later become a state.
