Those stupid anti-VN ex-VNCHs and their stupid ex-VNCH underlings must be really upset when they see nothing in here for them.

They should wake up and learn to be less stupid.

who is stupid, VC?

1)VC do anything to be friends with USA again!
2)VC, did you read the article and which part of this that you the commie dont understand?

During his term in Vietnam, the ambassador will place priorities on developing bilateral economic and trade ties, boosting educational cooperation, and improving human rights issues, the ambassador said.

No More lies spins a happy tale....

I fought with 2nd Bn, 501st Abn Inf., 101st Abn Div at Phuoc Yen then again at the Song Bo River 2 klicks NW of Hue. We had some popular force and "Black Panther" soldiers from the 1st ARVN Div with us and they were fucken worthless.

Outside of ARVN Rangers and some Viet Airborne units - the rest were for the most part hopeless. The ARVN officers were more interested in shaking down their troops...the appointments to ARVN command positions were politically motivated and most didn't have a clue how to soldier or command and the rich Vietnamese sent their kids to Paris to spend time whoring while their less well off brothers were conscripted to serve in the ARVN.

With all the training we gave them...all the weapons and ammo they couldn't hold out against the VC and NVA without us taking up the brunt of the fight.

After 9 f!cking years wouldn't you think the ARVN would stand and fight.

Maybe the other readers here would like to know what unit you fight with cowboy?

"US, Vietnam strengthen cooperative ties

A year into his tenure, US Ambassador to Vietnam Michael Michalak sees strong improvement in cooperation between the two countries in many fields.
Speaking at a press briefing Wednesday celebrating the one year anniversary of his post in Vietnam, Michalak told reporters that marked progress has been made in advancing the areas of investment, climate change, education and human rights.

The US and Vietnam are trying to set a time for the first negotiation session on a bilateral investment treaty, perhaps in September or October, he said, adding that the prospective treaty will bring about greater legal protection and help Vietnam lure more investment.

The US will also continue to help Vietnam detoxify areas affected by Agent Orange and clear unexploded ordnance remaining from the war.

The ambassador confirms his country has established a US$3 million fund to help Vietnam address environmental repercussions of dioxin-affected locations.

The two countries have also agreed to create a working group on the climate change issue, Michalak said, as the southern Mekong Delta region is expected to be affected by consequences of potential climate change.

In terms of healthcare cooperation, the US will expand the implementation of its President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to seven or eight Vietnamese provinces from the current six.

The two countries will also set up a bilateral taskforce to expand education cooperation to help more Vietnamese come to study in the states, Michalak said. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had signed a memorandum of understanding on the taskforce's establishment during his US visit in June.

During his term in Vietnam, the ambassador will place priorities on developing bilateral economic and trade ties, boosting educational cooperation, and improving human rights issues, the ambassador said.

US-Vietnam economic relations “continues to mature,” as figures from the first half of 2008 suggest annual two-way trade will surpass the $12.53 billion mark from 2007.

Bilateral trade has grown every year since 1997, and US annual exports to Vietnam currently stand at $1.61 billion, almost equaling last year’s landmark figure of $1.9 billion.

Cooperating in certain areas like drug trafficking or sex trafficking does not mean the US will not insist Vietnam will treat its own citizens humanely. Human rights and religious freedom will always be at the forefront for US Vietnam relationship. The VC are deluding themselves if they think the US will ever ignore the plight of dissidents in Vietnam.

You better shape little VC, the whole world is watching you and expect you to behave in civilized manner.

Hello forum readers,

I am PBC. I'm really stupid and clueless. I always write obnoxious posts. I talk down on my motherland because I am a stupid and clueless Uncle Tom. There is nothing in my cranium! LOL

That's why I spam all day long. I make dirty remarks that nobody bothers to read because I cannot think straight. I'm that much of an idiot and a loser.

I like to kiss white a$$es. I don't know what they really think of me. They might think I'm a useful clown or they might think I give the VK a bad name since I am so, so, so dumb like an airhead VK with a big and filthy mouth!! LOL

Anyway, just have fun an ignore my posts because they are worthless and mean nothing since I am worthless and mean nothing.

What am I doing here, you may ask? Gee, I don't know! Hahaha!

If you read this you will know that I am an idiot and a shameless liar.

" Our relationship with Vietnam has also entered a new chapter, symbolized by President Bush's visit to Vietnam in 2006 and the recent visit by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to Washington in June. Our countries now enjoy significant and growing trade and economic ties; an emerging military-to-military relationship; successful cooperation on health and development issues; and growing cultural and educational links. Vietnam's remarkable growth over the last 15 years, which has lifted millions of its citizens from poverty, points to the transformative opportunities of the U.S.-led international economic order. Vietnam has followed a path to growth familiar to many of its successful neighbors: encouraging private enterprise, establishing legal institutions, and opening itself to global trade through membership in institutions like APEC and the WTO. And while we continue to urge Vietnam to strengthen its respect for human rights and religious freedom, we celebrate its people's rising prosperity. "
