Well, what else is new about the nut that is leading a country down the path of destruction. He has set up a system of spies in the military so many will not speak out against him or dare to talk coup since his own are in power and living like millionaires. Just one more step down the path of the new Castro system with a twist of oil.

I lived in Germany for 6 years when I was growing up. They are extremely sensitive about their Nazi past. It's not something that any of them are proud of. Voter turn out in Germany is like 98%. One of the big reasons is because they never want a Nazi regime to take over again.

Chavez calling Merkel a Nazi is like someone calling a black American the n word. It's sooo offensive. This guy is so out of line. He's the president of a country, but acts like an ignorant child.

I live in Houston. Venezuela has a refinery here, and he has either already shut it down, or has plans to. A lot of Citgo (Venezuela owned gas stations) have also closed down. Stupid. Venezuela oil is really heavy, and only refineries that are costumed designed for that type of oil can refine it. He has plans on building refineries in Nicaragua, Haiti, Ecuador, Bolivia and Dominica and a couple of other places. Those refineries take a lot of skill to run. Even with all of the knowledge here in Houston, the refineries still blow up from time to time. What do you think is going to happen in those other countries?

He fired a lot of his engineers, and as a result, his oil output is lower. He had to purchase oil from Russia so that he didn't renege on his contracts.

I used to root for Chavez because he supported all of the brown people living in the favelas, but now I just think that he’s crazy. He was angry at the US for supporting a coup that took him out of office a couple of years back, but he’s now making allies with some of the most ruthless leaders in the world. Putin. If he get’s on Putin’s nerves, a coup will be the last of his worries. He will have to worry about uranium in his cereal.

chavez is ridiculous... actually i found him quite symphatic once. but he proves more and more that he is a complete idiot.

not only that what he said is historically incorrect (ok, not everyone can have a good education), but when merkel was there, he even said she invited him to germany. which she never did. pathetic
