I think Pres Chavez is a common dictator who justifies his stupid retoric thanks to the us dollars that buys his oil I am surprised that the US government doesn't anything that can shut this political monkey in a suit like the King of Spain did. I have no respect for this vitriolic mediocre man.

Ah...there you are my little Communist lover.

Comrade, if Hugo has his way, his country will slowly begin to look a lot like Cuba, poor, rundown, food and other goods short on supply, citizens with no freedoms, etc. etc. Once oil comes back down to a more reasonable price, Hugo will no longer have his "big stick" to wave in front of the rest of the world.

Hopefully, the citizens of Venezuela will wake up and get rid of their current Dictator before its too late !! Hugo's demise will have nothing to do with some list he may or may not be on...

The biggest fight Reagan ever did was the Grenada War. What are you smoking?
Respectfully disagree.

How about the former USSR ?? Reagan took them out without firing a single shot... by outspending them militarily !!

I've been hearing this same statement for 10 years already, by the time this elected dictator makes Venezuela looks like Cuba he's gonna be too old for it.

10 years already...then that gives Hugo another 40 years to get the job done to equal Fidel. Doubt he will live that long so there still is hope for the citizens of Venezuela !!

Wrong.. is not done, you've been trying to do so but you can't 'cause Hugo makes sure that the rest of the world knows what's really going on. Remember that we're not Cuba, Grenada or Panama. He's not trying to pick a fight with you, he's defending Venezuela of false accusations so you can invade us and take what belongs to us. Belive it or not thats a reality and you should now it by now.
Good to see you and Hugo are on a first name basis. Incidentally, I do remember that Venezuela is not Cuba, so can you explain why Chavez is trying so hard to turn Venezuela into Cuba?

He IS trying to pick a fight that is the problem. He is constantly attacking the US for no reason conducting a shameful foreing policy that is improvised and downright dangerous.

Invade? Sure, if Chavez creates the necessary conditions of course. Iran is a terrorist state and Chavez insists that her president is a friend and that he will even send troops to help Iran if the US attacks. Why in hell is this? Why is he choosing to align himself with such prick (I guess he being one is a factor)? What does Venezuela have in common with Iran?

Chavez's war will start and will end as soon as he hears the first bomb. Everyone knows how much of a coward he actually is.

I was in the military in Venezuela and if you can only see the armament we had you'll realize why Chavez is renewing and updating the very very very old armament we had. I remember we use to have 10 Mirages sharing a couple of engines then we got the bad version of your f-16 now we have the MK2. He wants to unite not to destroy South America and we sure are gonna lose a war with somebody shooting at us from faraway so i don't think Chavez is that crazy.
Exactly. The armament was old and Chavez chooses the AK47 only because of the aura around it. It is the weapon of choice of all the communists so he needs to choose one. Nevermind that the G3s are out there, G36s, M8s and even the newer AK74, not to mention the weapons of the 'enemy' such as the M4, M16A2.

What war are you going to fight? I grew up in Venezuela and not until Chavez got to power the talk of war started. He is obsessed with it and he will start one and then innocents will die. How can yo support this?

Are you reading this Cindy Sheehan? That's you're buddy down there. He hates this country just as much as you do. The only difference is that he has the decency to live there. Why don't you pick up an AK and join him and renounce you're US citicenship?

Oh are YOU RIGHT!
Politics IS business!
Mess with big players, and he might as well enter the room walking backwards, holding his ankles, with a tube of KY resting on his back!

It's the WAY of B I G business.

I know some have heard this before, but Venezuela is vulnerable. Take out the bridges/tunnels connecting Caracas to Valancia Guatire, and La Guaira. Take out the cement supply, take out Maiquetia, Valencia, BQTO, Maracaibo airports, and the ship-yards (NO crude production facilities). The place would be SHUT DOWN. It's war all right, Sure innocent people would be killed. But remember, it's WAR (or at least it could be!

Currencies are based on market. Ask Argentina how that works... locking your currency to another. THE US and Canada are 2 unique but more similar markets, and they zig-zag with eachother. South America is too unstable, as a whole, to merge with some other countries economy. Europe is a whole different game. economically, socially, financially.
