Marty Marty Marty. The terrible Gringos DO care about Ecuador and many, many other places. Let your friend Correa get in bed with Chavez and soon you will have the secret police making the lives of the local Ecuadorian people a living hell as it will soon be in Venezuela. After China, why not go to Venezuela for a while? Ask my friends in Cuba what life has been like for 40+ years. By the way, life is pretty cozy in NY. Si o no? Es verdad.

The U.S. and it’s people do not. Wealthy and powerful interests are using the might of the U.S. government to secure the oil resources in the region for their benefit. Follow the oil money, all will become clear.

I seriously doubt the Chinese, a major player here, is using the might of the U.S. government to secure oil resources. Think about what you are saying.

nwg, the chinese are looking at ecuador and other places in central/south america. who do you think just bought the port in manta? a group called hutchison out of hong kong. i hope you like chinese food.

A todos mis amigos y amigas, your dialogues are very good and informative. I hope our amigos y amigas en South America can continue to enjoy the freedom of speech as we enjoy it here en los Estados Unidos.

I found this the other day. Have a look at it. It is also very informative. I pray for our Ecuador and all of Central/South America every night. Es verdad.

Maybe Chavez have to read up "dictatorships 101" 'cause Globovision among others, is a Venezuelan TV channel 100% dedicated against him.

Correa is only taking back what belongs to the people of Ecuador. The oil and mineral rights belong to the people not to a bunch of scum that has fled to the land of criminals, the unitedstates. May god guide us away from the usury of capitalism and its thieves.

Dear Seancito, once again - watch Correa and the money disappear. It is a certainty. Watch this guy in Pakistan (Musharaff) who is being kicked out of office. This bastard will walk away with millions of foreign aid that was supposed to go to his country and its people. Marcos did the same damned thing in the Phillipines. Correa won't be the first and he won't be the last. Watch the money disappear when Correa goes. Es verdad.

Oh, but it is coming... haven't you heard of the new project of telecommunication law that is already in Chavez's rubberstamp congress for "discussion" and which was already given the go ahead by the rubberstamp Supreme Court? Among its dispositions you can find:

"In order to saveguard the public order, or to act in behalf of the safety and interest of the nation, the president of Venezuela will be able to suspend the transmission from any communication media until the cause of such suspension has been solved."

In other words, as far as the petit tyrant believes or argues that he is acting to saveguard the safety or interest of the nation he can simply order the suspension of any information from the media. Note the total lack of definition of what is considered a serious enough situation to enact such power.

This new law, together with the other 26 laws by decree that he sneaked upon Venezuelans in the middle of the night, point out that he not only read the "dictatorship 101" but probably even added a few chapters of his own to it.

Venezuela is the only country in the world where you read in the newspaper that there's not freedom of speech and you listen to a reporter in a news station after criticise the government saying that you'll be encarcerated if you think different than them.
Is this a hight degree of mental dissosiation or what?
How do you argue with these people?
Some times i feel like i'm in the Twilight Zone

You are in the twilight zone, this is the first time you are right. Nothing more bizarre than Chavez's government and stupidity. He prays peace while talking war, he insults governments and countries and then calls them friends, he is insulted by countries and governments and then he loves them more, he has more radio and media attention than Paris hilton with Tv and Radio at his disposal but closes a tv Channel because they showed how much of a liar he was. He gives away Venezuela's riches to China and Russia and then HATES imperialistic ideas... ti-ti-ti-ti-ti
