I think it's GREAT. Venezuela needs electricity, and since it is growing and developing so quickly it is already in bad shape as far as the electric grid.

The problem is, they haven't maintained the existing turbines, haven't kept up with demand, and now want to induce nuclear.

If they haven't maintained what they have... it seems they may not maintain the nuclear plant(s).

For all those that like Venezuela, the energy will be good. For those that don't, a nuclear reactor accident should satisfy them.

Needless to say, the US just will need to leave it alone.

There are many Latin American countries which have developed nuclear energy like Brazil and Argentina, even in Venezuela we had an american nuclear reactor back in the 50s under the government of dictator Marcos Pérez Jiménez, so whats all the fuss about?

Venezuela is a sovereign country and has the right to develop nuclear energy for pacific use.

Well, I guess that you as a german hate russians, we must remember that your country lost the WWII fighting in Russia soil (Soviet Union at that time), and red Army took Berlin at the end of that war. Venezuela has the right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful use, and neither USA nor Germany can stop us from doing so.

German dictator at that time, Adolf Hitler, took his life on sunday april 29th 1945 when russian troops were just one block away from the bunker in whick he was hidden.
