PNG, Vanuatu & Solomon islands are all full of corruption. No wonder they support the interim government. PNG for e.g, theres fighting among the natives every day, one clan against the next, Michael Somare is just sitting high and mighty and the lower class are desperatly in need. They end up eating, cros, deer, dogs etc....so I think before they want to support a interim government, their leaders MUST HELP THEIR PEOPLE FIRST.

well said Rakesh.
education, anyone?? |
|
You're right Rakesh, of course being corrupt they will all endorse the new Fiji corruption.

Rakesh, you sound like you have little idea of life in PNG or Melanesian culture, however accurate your political comments are. Deer in PNG? Social classes? Please do your homework before adding garbage to what may otherwise be useful comment.

Ozzie, I use PNG as an example because I have been there. I have visited Port Moresby & Wewak. I know they eat "deers", "cros", "dogs" etc.. that people in Fiji don't eat. What I wrote is not garbage, they are fact. Maybe you should visit PNG and see it yourself. By the way, they have nonstop flight between BNE/WWK. Familize yourself with your neighbours who are just an hour flight away. Solomons and Vanuatu, is another story.

Solomons and Vanuatu, is another story. Yes the starving dogs in the Solomons are too skinny to eat
|
|
|
i heard that theres a tribe in rakiraki, fiji who eat dogs....they light a fire and throw dogs over them then eat them when its cooked......bit like lovo....

Raj I think you missed the point, the topic is about the neighbouring countries supporting our new Interim govt. Don't go believing everything you hear unless you've seen it. Have a good day! |

Look out Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu! OO7 conman agent Peter Foster has cut a special deal to reveal which one of you didn't pay for drinks at your last piss up to discuss Fiji.
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,... "Foster cuts deal to sink skipper Hedley Thomas, Port Vila, Vanuatu January 19, 2007 AUSTRALIAN Customs officers in Vanuatu yesterday raided a vessel suspected of being used for drug-running and smuggling as the two convicted conmen caught up in a South Pacific escapade turned on each other. The raid on the former Australian navy vessel Retriever1 - allegedly used to smuggle Peter Foster from Fiji to the Vanuatu capital, Port Vila - came soon after police and legal sources revealed the conman had cut a secret deal to provide intelligence and evidence about the boat and its Australian skipper and crew." |

These countries back the new interim gov in Fiji becos they know that shit has occured and that more shit is inbound if defragmenting does not occur in the South Pacific especially with the Melanesian community of which Fiji is an integral component.

I have been to PNG before. But I don't think they eat rubbish. It's like like the old days where cannibalism is on rampant. Yet, I believe such practice exists in the remote area. So, don't get lost in PNG jungle. In Port Moresby, there's a lot more for the government to improve the city infrastructure. People from the outskirts have come to seek for employment, and end up they live in wooden houses and not employed.

Raj, can you send them to me? I have a few dogs in my neighbourhood that I would love to get rid off. |

a widow (australian) of a former well-respected PNG Attorney general who became an MP made some very interesting comments on ABC about corruption. Before entering politics she thought all or atleast most PNG politicians were corrupt. On becoming an MP she became more sympathetic to her peers, thinking that they (MP)s are just overwhelmed.
Most news comming out of melanesia (99% depressing) makes it difficult to pass good judgement on melanesian block leaders/people. My question to all the very intelligent and non-corrupt people on this forum is are you fair in your judgment or just a disciple of mainstream culture. You consume the newspapers, magazines and TV programmes etc then do your best immitation of the messages/ideas propagated? |

Thank you Diudas, you're indeed a breath of fresh air in this Forum. Keep it up.

They all have nothing good to say but to suck and drain whatever they can from the Nz and australian government. But the australians and nzealnders arent stupid. The fijians deserve the ban and they need to evaluate and see where they've been and where they are heading for 2007. It is a shame that Bainimarama's proud and arrogant comments will have a greater impact to the fijians. After all the two countries dont give a damn.. Its fiji who is a third world country and needs help but it continually denies it. The solomons and PNG have their own issues and they are using Fiji as a puppet for their outburst cry to the two countries. Fiji stop the Hypocrite and be real. Dont say one thing today and change your words again. Is this typical Fijian way! Lots of unsteady and double minded leaders.. Fiji from the outside seems to be full of hypocrite leaders using the name of God for the cause of their coups.
scarry though! Please!!! |
