Uzbekistan - A country with a future

The article about Uzbekistan as the worst country to visit is interesting. I do disagree however. I am a 53 year old Englishman developing a conservation project out in Bukhara, and although the place is so sureal, it is a very nice place. Uzbekistan does need a kick start into the 21st century in many ways, but that isnt going to come in the near future. "All i want in Bukhara is a decent supermarket and shops/restarants etc:

I agree with you Sir, it is nice place to visit, and UNSECO most favored nation to maintain all historical reservations..but those things do not fit peoples hunger, especially Bukhara is good for income generation through tourism, but not yet that popular to attract people around the world)

i think Turkey must help our brothers.we havent need to join eu!we have need unite other Turkish countries(Uzbekistan,Kazakhsta n,Azerbaijan,Tajcikistan,Turkm enistan and northern cyprus)one country,one nation,one leader,one language!
today other Turkish countries very poor.Its horrible!and Turkey think join to eu.(eu is aryan united)we are not speak aryan tongue!

It is difficult. Who should be leader, where is capital and who will govern. No one wants to be controled. But your opinion can be utilized in the form of economic cooperation or free-economic-zone

its funny here...i don't believe people here talking something good about uzbekistan.My experience in uzbekistan is never being good.that why i hate so much the country & the people too.

I hate people who thinks bad about Uzbek people. I think, they are bad themselves.

after the collapse of Soviet union, all post soviet countries faced harsh challenges in all spheres: economic, political, social...and Uzbekiya is not an exception. Transaxonia is place with a huge historical heritage: idealogical and religious contradictions, so called Uzbeks saw msny things from Macedonian to Communist Stalin...Bacause of Mussolini, we can not blame Italians, bacause of Hitler, we can not blame German tribes, because of Stalin, we can not blame whole georgians, because of Saddam, we can not blame Iraqis, because of Karimov, we can not blame Uzbeks, they need help in developing education, economy and assistance to integration to global community.
