Hi,
I read some articles regarding Uzbek brutality against Tajik minorities especially in Tajik cities such as Samarqand and Bukhara. I heard Uzbek government forces people to hide their Tajik identity and call themselves Uzbek. This is terrible and I hope proud Tajiks of Uzbekistan feel proud of their Tajik identity and their Persian language. |

nothing good in uzbek ....ha. |
||||

Yes, this is true. However, we will be together again. Each Tajik will be proudly saying "I am Tajik of a PERSIAN dynasty!"

Hie guys,
John doesnt seem to be muslim otherwise he would have shut up it from spoiling with bulshit nonsense words,you guys dont know the situation really here any one from Uzbekistan or lived in those cities? for sure you didnt, we dont have any pressure here over them even Jews lived in Bukhara though dont know if they live still. yeah I heard they were required to change their passports to uzbek in time of USSR but it was for one reason only. as you know now these cities are full of tadjiks and iranian people who moved to here long before, in time of A.Temur they say tadjiks were required to live certain place but now they moved to these cities and that doesnt mean these cities belong to tadjiks nor iranians they can live in peace but cant claim these cities as theirs. so in time of USSR there was held policy of dividing regions according to population, so some tadjiks also tried to claim these cities to add to Tadjikistan and our authorities in 1 day changed their passports to uzbek so Moscow couldnt declair it as Tadjikistan city but I dont know for sure. this is self defence policy so nothing wrong with it, but in fact they are although minority when we come to these cities look at us if we were in tadjikistan. I heard Tadjikistan runs this kind of policy, uzbeks there cant get to government positions while in uzbekistan no tadjik has this kind of problem. so i think you are misinformed of actual situation, but it isnt good for a muslim talk like this bad about muslim... Sobir! |

Couple guys from Malaysia. What a hell you are saying by these words. When did u guys learn history? Don't superimpose your bad stinks upon our nations. U guys even could not properly understand Islam cutting an innocent Christian girl. So look at yourself before judging other. If some O'zbeks hurt you, this is not nations fault. I have many Malaysian friends but they are not like you. I saved couple of from Mex guys. Just because I just wanted this and because they are Muslims. I have so many friends from your country go to mosques together. With another one we are like brothers and help each others.
Bastards like you are shame to Malaysia. Who corrupted and sees world corrupted. There are bad Iranian, Uzbek, Tadjik guys in both Samarkand and Bukhara who has nothing to do except bringing fight to nations and creating fake stuff. I have close business friends in Dushanbe. When we talked with them about nationalities he laughed and said If someone is from Samarkand claiming being tadjik because they speak tadjik it does not mean he/she is a Tadjik. Same thing apply to all other nations. Briefly in Central Asia spread of nations and spread of languages do not match. About somehow named "brutality" of the Uzbek's please give the fact. If you read from somewhere show us or give link. This problem is everywhere wherever you go on boundaries between *istan countries. where is mixture of nations ... same blamings... Because there are a lot of unhappy guys with nothing to do job. |

Bektosh respect!!!
Educated and informed person. First point: Tajiks in Samarkand and Buhara speak different tajik language than those in Tajikistan. They don't understand each other completely. Second point: Tajiks in Uzbekistan don't hide their tajik identity, even if they tried to, it is still so obvious, they have strong accent. Also, tajiks are all over the Uzbekistan, I mean Uzbek-tajiks. There is a city Termez in Surhandarya region, lot of tajiks there, and one huge region in Kashkadarya called Dehkanabad i believe. And people please don't say bad rumors about Uzbekistan unless you are 100% sure. You might read from some sources but it is not necessarily true that it is a fact. There are tons of bastards ,like some people here, who don't like Uzbekistan for some stupid reasons. Once again, respect Bektosh, it feels great to know people like you. I love and missing Uzbekistan. |

It is a widely known fact that Uzbekistan is one of the worst countries in the world for their transgressions against human rights. It however, does not seem fair to just point fingers about Tajik s being subjugated to unfair treatment, there is a lack of political unity in Uzbekistan, people are not truly free so it is assumed everyone is denied their inalienable rights, not just the Tajiks.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Blah-blah-blah, Ashen. Have you done with your "smart" statements? Then, look. It is one of the worst not because it is, but because people like you kept saying this. And please do not refer to the rubbish aired by the so called human rights groups. Talk about yourself and your own experience. "Truly free", "bruly free" ... You're just throwing the words with little essence.

Hmm sounds like someone might be a little ashamed.
I say nothing that is not true, Uzbekistan is ranked 166 out of 180 countries rated for their corruption level within government and society on Transparency Internationale's yearly report, the url is here if you do not believe me, the url is below. tp://www.transparency.org/poli cy_research/surveys_indices/cp i/2008 I meant no offense against Uzbek culture or their wonderful citizens, central Asia is a place rich with history and colourful heritage. It has played an essential part in the founding of the wester world, there is nothing to be discounted. I was simply giving some information based on the question that Homayoun wrote in. Samarqand and Bukhara are essentially Tajik cities within the borders of Uzbekistan. Nationalism is a big part of the culture, based on the other facts the ideas that people would be able to freely stand and proclaim whatever they like within society is very unbelievable. The government does what they believe is right to keep control of the country and make sure radical Islam does not pose a problem, so be it, I am not criticizing, simply stating the truthful facts. Who knows, maybe everyone is wrong and Uzbekistan is a haven for religious freedom and free rights! Until someone shows me that side ill believe the evidence :) |

Come on. Who cares for those indexes and what you said "thruthful facts", they are done by people - nowadays the world is free and people keep throwing the words with no responsibility for that. That is not really nice, you know. Imagine a situation when I keep you at gun-point and curse you. Do you think you stand much chances to shut me up? ;) I don't think so. The groups (opinions) you refer possess mechanisms we do not have to counter that shit.

By the Name of Allah, The Most Benificient, The Most Merciful.
Infact, We all the human kinds belong to one father and mother. Especially, there is no any preferences in Islam in one nation over the other nation. We are all same, only pious people and who obey the sayings of Allah Almighty and His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)are better then others. For me, there is no any way to blame uzbeks or anyother nation, if an uzbek or a Tajik does a wrong thing it is not good to blame or curse all the nation. Tajiks and Uzbeks used to live for several centuries together and never did such conflicts. History if the mother of facts. It's only the plans of other animies you can say, to divide the nations and rule them. The rich people dont face any troube, it's only the poor people who face all the troubes. The ordinary people of both nations dont hate each other. It's only the press and limited persons who created all these propagandas. "INDEED ALL MU'MINS (MUSLIMS) ARE BROTHERS" |

We are not brothers, I don't feel any kind of affiliation with Uzbeks. If you my Muslim brother why you close my school and force me and my relatives to change my identity?
My grandfather was forced to change his nationality (in passport)under the threat to be exiled to Siberia. However, all people in my family and my relatives are proud to be Tajiks, we always try to maintain our language and culture. Samarkand and Buchara always were centers of - Eastern -Iranian culture (not Persian but Iranian which is different).Since the ancient times the population here are Estern -Iranians; Turks invaded our lands but not our souls- you closed our schools, universities, changed our passports, claimed us Uzbeks - but despite of all your efforts we preserved our identity. You, Turks always use Islamic slogans to rob us, to loot our culture and to take our lands and property. It worked previously but not any more. Of course the Tajik language in Samarkand differs from Tajiki in Tajikistan - simply because you closed all our schools and the majority of local Tajiks can not speak in literature language. The Tajiki ( Farsi) language in Samarkand is used only on streets and market places. But any way we will remain Tajiks. I don't hate Uzbeks and have a lot of good friens among them. However, I personally would prefer to see my children dead than to become Uzbeks. |

This is a bullshit. I am sorry. The whole uzbekistan government consists of ethnic tajiks, including the president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov. Today, there is a huge expansion of tajiks into the capital, Tashkent, from Samarkand and Buhara. And not only to Tashkent. Have you ever traveled from Tashkent to New York? The airplane is full of tajiks and only 1 o2 uzbeks. The Borough park district in Brooklyn, NY is flooded with tajiks from Samarkand. Those people, comparing to uzbeks, are more rich and can pay $8,000 - 10,000 per person for US tourist visa, and $25,000 -$30,000 for a Green card per person. What is that? The sign of oppression? Of'course not. They come to the US and lie to the US government that they are being oppressed in uzbekistan because they are tajiks. And US government gives them asylum. This is how they foolish US government as well. |
||||
Nobody forced you or your parents to change your identity. You scumbags did it on purpose because it was of benefit to you. Tajiks were more wealthy than uzbeks and owned bigger lands, so that when the Soviet government decided to distribute some land to uzbeks who were in disadvantageous situation, you liars quickly change your nationality from tajik to uzbek and thats how you got additional lands. You lied on purpose because it was profitable to you. So, shut up and stop instilling this ethnic rage. |
