Government does make a difference. The main reason there are no American flag merchant ships, is that Congress decided to "help" the merchant marine.

Poverty is terrible. The only thing worse is armies of overpaid bureaucrats who are supposed to be helping. Better to have lots of jobs.

Prop 13 is a terrible thing, it has reduced the growth rate of bureauracy and unionized government jobs in California. I can understand why it is hated. How can you vote yourself a raise, if the money is locked up.

And for the "Universal Health Care Crowd" I'd like to share this little news item from the Brits, they have alread achieved that glorious goal to which you and the other prot-communists aspire: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml... Now don't whine when the "health police" decide to run the rest of your life.

And as far as the Republican whine about the vandalism of their headquarters in Manhattan Beach. What do you expect? The left has institutionalized snot-nosed little thugs in all of the schools around the country. If the perp is found, he will be a Mira Costa student belonging to one of the more vocal Democrat families in MB.

"There are many opportunities for citizens to vigorously express their views. Acts of vandalism such as this," said Bob Holmes in Manhattan Beach, "pollute the political process and the free exchange of idea."

Yes, and that's what their intentions are.
Pollution and confusion.

But I bet if they knew where Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter lived, the Republican party offices would be unscathed.
