Turkey need progressive reforms and modernization, democracy and freedom.

Need to not loose time.

Turkey need to join EU, and EU need to become common country.

As article says it has hit the wall. This process comprises of high speed smashing into the wall, then remainder sliding down from verticle wall and slamming on the ground on it's rear end.

I don't think EU membership is really attractive to Turkey anymore.

Let's face it, with the internal frictions, the failure of the Euro, and the unability of Brussels to steer a way out of the economic crisis, EU membership must be hard to sell to any country...

Like a bubble, the myth of an United Europe has burst.

Unlike you, I would have no problem with the Turks.
Aren't you somewhat ashamed of being such a xenophobe?

I don't, but even YOU might not like it if several thousand arrived here. But I have not met anyone who actually LIKED Turks. Even other moslems don't like them. The Arabs don't like them.

I have a male and female rabbit, they've both been sterilised. Perhaps this is the way forward for followers of Islam in the UK.

Really?
Well, I have seen the opposite of what you say.
I have seen Turk entrepreneurs welcomed in Arab countries where they bring investment.

I cannot stand the EU. Turkey my advice? Stay out, better off.

Don't think Turks would appreciate being talked down to by some unelected Christians in Brussels...

I'm afraid not, in fact many people are just waiting for it to collapse. The EU now has too much power, it seemed alright a few years back but with these new treaties etc coming into place they have taken a lot more power from the nation states.

The Irish have a referendum on the Fiscal Compact Treaty in May. As usual we'll vote no, but will be told to vote again. Democracy? Isn't saying NO once enough for these clowns? I disagree with UKIP on a lot of things, but quite enjoy watching Nigel Farage sticking it to them in Brussels.

This is one of my favourites Farage sticking it to the EU President Van Rompuy......

The resistance to the EU is growing.

In several countries, there are now political parties gaining ground with anti-EU programmes. Even once EU supporters start to have second thought about the organisation.

The EU administration is becoming a monster completely out of control.
Just as some countries are facing huge financial difficulties, forcing damaging cuts, the EU now proposes to increase its budget by 6.8%!!!

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
