Menchville High's marching band invited to England

So, the board members will support this, however, what was the boards position on Heritage High Schools invite last year to California? Yeah, I know this is an overseas extravaganza, and that's great for the invitation, but come on now, schools are all in need of support for the children's activities!!!!

I'm so excited for this I cannot wait. Especially since seniors who will be graduating this year still get to attend. This is a chance of a lifetime and I am so proud of myself and our band for recieving this invitation. GO MARCHING MONARCHS!

Doesn't this discriminate against all the rest of the other students who don't have the opportunity?

Discrimination? Are you serious? The people who are inviting them are inviting the Band, not the whole school. That and I expect Ms. Sarvay to root out any trouble makers that would be bad ambassadors of their school and their city. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want anyone embarrassing me in front of the entire of London during something as important as the New Years Parade. I'm actually very jealous of them, I would give anything to participate in this trip and have a chance to be a Marching Monarch again.

HHS didn't go to CA because the kids can't behave. On more than one occasion at games and competitions they have instigated fights. The Monarchs do no such thing. I didn't go to either school, but I know of teachers at both and have seen these bands at games and competitions and I completely understand the resounding NO to HHS and the yes to MHS.

I really don't believe that the reason HHS didn't go to CA,( although I think they did), is because of their behavior let's be truthful.

being in this band for only one year and finding out i get to go to london was awwssoommm.i new we would be going on trips to other states but other countrys thats crazy. over the summer im going to practice so when we go to london we can make it a blow out

oh my god i have always wanted to go to london so im so happy that im apart of this amazing band if it werent for our talent we wouldnt have gotten this far to go im proud of all of us!!

Some people need to know what they are talking about . HHS went to CA and won, before voicing your opinion learn the facts. The parent of HHSBand support their kids and with them at games and competition so there was not any fights. Besides kids at all schools are kids. Please learn the facts before speaking
