I think Mr. Salles hit a home run for all of us hardworking people. This scum should go back to where he came from and take his loser girlfriend, who is just as responsible, with him. Unfortunately in MA the best way to go to jail or at least go broke in an effort to stay out of jail is to shoot someone that is breaking into your house.

In MA you have an obligation to run away before you can use deadly force. If this guy died from his head wound there is a good possibility that he would be facing charges.

My grandfather(VOVO in portugese, because he's Brazilian)is a hero! He kept his home safe and my grandmother safe. Chapter 278: Section 8A. Killing or injuring a person unlawfully in a dwelling; defense

Section 8A. In the prosecution of a person who is an occupant of a dwelling charged with killing or injuring one who was unlawfully in said dwelling, it shall be a defense that the occupant was in his dwelling at the time of the offense and that he acted in the reasonable belief that the person unlawfully in said dwelling was about to inflict great bodily injury or death upon said occupant or upon another person lawfully in said dwelling, and that said occupant used reasonable means to defend himself or such other person lawfully in said dwelling. There shall be no duty on said occupant to retreat from such person unlawfully in said dwelling.

The last line of that paragraph say it all. "There shall be no duty on said occupant to retreat from such person unlawfully in said dwelling."
