I agree the sentiments, but there is a problem. Religion is superstition and can motivate people to harm and kill. If people keep religion out of politics, education, the courtroom and science, I agree with you.
I do not set out to cause offence, but I do respect freedom of speech. I may tell a joke about Jesus or Mohammed, but I don’t think that what I say insults anyone. I wouldn’t repeat the joke for you as you might not appreciate it. Such figures are of only historical interest to me. But we all need to oppose those who are violent over someone writing what they do not want to read. What is needed is understanding of the other person’s motivations and intentions. Respect for their point of view.
We are good or bad due to our personalities, not our religion or lack of it.
