Yes. Just a hypothetical question. It could be a Jack Russell or a Pit Bull. But just supposing you're taking a nice leisurely stroll down a street, and along comes a dog on the pavement that starts barking and showing its teeth, acting viscious. And it starts giving chase. What do you do?
Do you kick it to kingdom come if it's one of those small dogs - and especially if the owner doesn't bother to keep its pet under control?
Or what?
Just wanted your views. Thanks.

A dog thinks the same way as a man at this point . Well my dealing with that and most orther things I just have a short temper with nonsense and realy don't have any fears bout anything so with da temper I start talking smack and yelling at a bigger dog . don't hit it til you have to most times it being the same dog often you basicy can train the dog to respect you if he see you often , you could hold your hand out flat plam up 88% chance he'll come smell it and like unless he smell animals on you . Look at him and in your mind say, say fool, i'm a animal i'm da baest !

Well, in the UK animals seem to have more rights than people in some cases. I suppose you would need proof that the dog was the instigator of trouble before you took any physical action against it - but if the owner does nothing to prevent the dog, I suppose he is the real guilty party and you are off the hook.

Please wait...
it is illegal to allow a dog to wander without a lead. This law is often ignored, mostly by travellers and trash families. We need far more dog catchers to catch these nasty mutts and put them down. Why do these people even have dogs? they only end up having their own kids killed by the vicious fleabags.

All that rethoric is very helpfuk, of course, if a vicious dog sets on you in the street!! My own practical solution is to turn back swiftly and walk away, slowly if you can. Looking for a safe haven on your retreat can be helpful too, something like a garden to hide, a garden wall to get to in case the mutt catches up with you. Loose dogs are territorial animals, and feel threatened if you approach them, unless they are of very friendly persuasion, of course.
