<quoted text>Wish I were going too! Thinking about it, Martin would have been a good alternative. I drank with the team a few year ago to a eupopean match in Itally. In fact I went a couple of times. He's a decent bloke, though I spent most of the time talking to Neil Back, funny guy!
At least you can look Neil Back in the eyes without cranning your neck.lol..Even though im a Sussex man i have followed Leicester since the days of Dusty Hare.

how about the Robertson's Golliwog? he was a symbol of Britain. But perhaps he'd be more at home in Brixton.

I was really annoyed, got called out on an emergency job. I recorded the game but then my dad rang & told me the result. Gutted! Glad you enjoyed it despite the result. I was like a bear with a sore head over it!!!
No, the plinth is still going ahead as planned (I think it was decided all along) with a 12 foot high? Bronze? Statue of Gandhi. There again I have heard that the asian community is funding it, I think thats a b0ll0cks, else why the debate, but if it's true, fair play to them. I think we should save up & have the heads of our Leicester heros embellishing the upper walls of the Hay Market (like it is in America with the heads of previous Presidents), after all, the Hay Market could do with a face lift!!!

the statue is being funded by a charity, not the council or tax payers.
If people want a statue of lineker, they can fund it themselves nobody is stopping them.
All these ppl criticising the prospect are obviously jealous of Asian success in the city, you reap the benefits of your education.

For gods sake! There is nothing to be jealous of! There are low life's amongst every race, including many ill educated ones! In fact I see an alarming amount of ill educated Asian woman in our city... But that is generally the way for the Asian man, to ensure that his wife is inferior to him, isn't it?
As for the project being a charity case? Ummm, if that were entirely true, then why the debate in the first place? The notion that it was a charity funded project was only added by the beloved (Asian) councillor, Mr V, when the sparks of controversy were beginning to ignite. I suppose the fact that the Asian community received brand new Devalli lights for the Golden mile, whilst the city centre, which was in desperate need of new Christmas lights, received the Golden miles old lights instead, was due to the education of the asian man, and had nothing to do with the racist attitude of our local government against the white people of the city? You'll probably think that that is absurd, people being racist on a big scale against the whites in the city? Why is it? We are the minority in this city now, the worm has well and truly turned. You can sit on your high horse & say what ever you want, but that education that you reap the rewards from, was probably one given to you for no other reason than the colour of your skin. Asian people are given jobs, for no other reason than the colour of their skin, & all this filters down, as proven by this statue & the lights, into our society & it gets our backs up. Nobody should be given anything based on race, or sex. How is that any less racist than if a white man reaped the benefits due to the colour of his skin? I can guess what you're thinking, but the white man had done that for years, yes he did, the ill educated white man of the past, the one's who's foolishness we are paying for today. Ever heard of the old saying, 2 wrongs don't make a right? This has nothing to do with education, where is the Asian mans dignity? We supposedly live in a modern society, so why is there a minority of people who seem intent on taking us back to the dark ages???

Obvious a man in denial Dib Dab.

BTW everyone dislikes Vas, he's an attention seeker. And most the guys in Whitehall, the guys who control the country are still white men, so I think we should still be talking about the white mans dignity.

You're absolutely right. The White men in Whitehall have no dignity. Which is why they allow so many non-nationals to dictate to them how they want things to be. This Government bends over backwards for these greedy, unappreciative, arrogant, so called followers of religious peace! It's enough to make one cry!!!

nobody said they were superior anywhere on this forums.
And if they did leave the Uk would be screwed as they'd lose 30% of all doctors so the NHS would die over night. Not to mention the amount of cash that would be forever lost from the British economy.

Not necessarily. There are an awful lot of Asians sat on their arses in our benefit system, so things might just balance out. Remembering that to claim income support, jobseekers, incapacity or both aspects of tax credits would also mean that houses are given, grants for decorating & furnishing, grants for babies, council tax paid, rent paid etc, etc!!! So unless you have all the correct evidence to support that our economy would collapse if the vast majority of Asians were to leave, I wouldn't make such bold claims if I were you!!!

OK , let the indians stay, but deport the Moslems. BUT , make it illegal to send money back home. We are not a job-centre for the 3rd world. Make them spend all their money here. And Gandhi would make a lovely garden gnome.
