Ukraine goes to dictatorship, no freedom more. This is a kind of Kaddafi's or latinoamerican regime on behalf of particular clan from doneck region and under slogan of protection russian east ukrainian population. Europe has not deal to Ukraine still, so new regime is strengthening without any obstacles.

They Partia Rehioni wil get it " po vukha " in the elections in the fall of 2012.

I hope you are wrong bout Ukraine getting a Latin American style Dictator ( Yanu would LOVE to be one). However, if it does-- all is not lost. Being a Latin American style dictator is one of the more difficult to insure occupations. The turnover rate quite high. Their dicttors keep meeting accidents which are almost as suspicious as those befalling journaliss who criticise Czar Putin. Either way-- Ukraine will survive and eventually prosper. Idi Ukraina

I expect that the second generation of Mafia will be incompetent and spoiled, as they will mostly be offspring of the clan. The larger mafia groups will splinter and others will replace them in a natural evolution of sorts. Single company owners will be replaced by larger groups and then by stock holders. Evolution continues. Yanu will eventually be gone and politics will swing the other way for Ukraine.

The hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on the topic: "Ukraine at a Crossroads: What's at Stake for the U.S. and Europe?" will be presided by Senator Jeanne Shaheen. Atlantic Council Executive Vice President Damon Wilson, and Senior Fellow for Energy and National Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies Edward Chow are invited to participate in the hearing.

The USA is very interested in the criminal regime in Ukraine. A few billion US dollars supporting freedom in Ukraine and free elections will flush Yanukovich and his party down the sewer, USA style. The USA the US Senate and Secretary Clinton, and Obama are offended by the Yanukovich regime. Just watch what happens!

We need changes, before or after elections. In Western Ukraine Januk is considering as an enemy, not as national leader. But also not so much people believes in chance for second Orange riot, due to "good memory" about weak Juszenko.

Governments will not change your life you must do that yourself. Go to school, get an education, become educated, get a job and try to influence society positively. Western Ukrainians must realize that crying and complaining about Moscow Russian influence will not help. You should elect proper, honorable deputies from West Ukraine , that can work with honourable honest east Ukraine deputies in the Ukrainian RADA instead arguing with your fellow ukrainians , because then anti democratic forces in Russia benefit, and Ukraine will fail as a state very quickly and will fall into the russian empire again. I agree that the clans must be broken up,especially the Donetsk clan in East Ukraine, but traditional west ukrainian hatred and antipathy of east ukrainians and russians in |Ukraine must stop too!I caution you against following the dangerous Arab example of violence and disobedience. I do NOT recommend violence. All these things must be done peacefully and democratically at the ballot box during fair elections. Even Russia can be negotiated with from a position of power, not from a position of weakness.Ukraine must loose its inferiority complex and its defeatist attitudes and mindset !!

Defense lawyer of jailed former prime minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, Serhiy Vlasenko, believes that Ukraine will have to comply with a ruling of the European Court of Human Rights on Tymoshenko's case. "Implementation of a ruling of the European Court is a legal obligation of Ukraine as a state. This is not a political duty, not a moral duty," the lawyer said on Channel 5 on Wednesday night. "Accordingly, for the failure to comply with the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, European institutions have the right and resources to apply specific legal sanctions against the State of Ukraine," he stressed. "So I don't think Ukraine will decide not to implement the ruling of the European Court," the lawyer said. Speaking about what the sanctions Europe could take against Ukraine, Vlasenko noted that the European Commission as an agency, where one may appeal to seek the implementation of a ruling of the European Court, may apply a wide range of measures to Ukraine as a state or to representatives of Ukraine in European countries. According to the lawyer, they may restrict entry and exit from the country, put restrictions on business activities, as well as apply various economic sanctions. Yanu will not stop his spression of possible opponents unless forced to do so. We will see what happens. The more outside pressure on his wannabe dictatorship the better.

Stefan wrote: <quoted text> The real power is the People and that means you Zuch. Very good. But at least half of population will vote for januk andd his "regions", only because they are associated with Russia for eastern ukrainians. Before neat Orange revolution we have understand, is it possible to mix 2 nations inside one country or not. If people votes only in accorfance to their national origin, no scene for ideas, conceptions , national interests etc.
