Lithuania, Poland Call for NATO MAP for Georgia ‘As Soon As Possible’
Civil Georgia, Tbilisi / 19 Aug.'08 / 12:17

In a joint declaration the Presidents of Lithuania and Poland, Valdas Adamkus and Lech Kaczynski, respectively, called for granting Georgia and Ukraine NATO membership action plan (MAP)“as soon as possible.”

“Russian actions in the sovereign country of Georgia have gone far beyond any reasonable steps to ensure the safety of civilians and peacekeepers and have escalated to open looting, targeted destruction of Georgian economy, landscape and nature, and killings which have the obvious signs of ethnic cleansing in the territories controlled by Russian troops,” the joint statement reads.

“Taking reference to the Bucharest NATO Declaration, which clearly stresses that Georgia and Ukraine will be NATO members, we ask the NATO leaders to instruct their ministers of foreign affairs to consider granting NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP) to Georgia and Ukraine as soon as possible.”

NATO foreign ministers are meeting in Brussels on August 19 to discuss Georgia-Russia conflict.

Well, I seemed to have given an example of the "funding on par". Isn't it enough?

Mitya I will not say what you say is true but how do we substantiate this. Facts cab be proved with examples. Words - well your President is a good example of accusations without proof. 2000 dead South Ossetians. This has been proved false by outside observers. Not the ones in the conflict.

Wanna evidents of what I exemplified? Come to Terskol near Elbrus to that observatory. It's not so far from Kharkiv. The train №26 it seems Moscow-Kislovodsk, and you'll see everything with your own eyes. Try this route for vacations, I think, you won't regret. Or come to the city of Orel not far from you too, and look how people of independent and wealthy Ukraine go there to sell on markets. I have nothing against them. Let them come but don't tell me in this case that Russia milked anyone. Russia fed all the Soviet republics and most of them now are in sh!t down to ears after that support has broken up...

That number of tolls you're talking of has been changed many times, and actually it's openly noted by our officials that these data were not independently proved. I actually can't imagine when this "independently" can come true, cause all the sides have interests in this war and I just can't figure out who could be a referee. But it's defenetally sizeable

Mitya It has been shown that in the Captiol of South Ossetia 44 were found dead. Not sizeable really. I think about 300 wounded. That is the number and if you want the source I can give it to you. I am not sure but I think I have two of them. I save web pages.

I have nothing against the Russian people. Understand that first. I do not support the Russain government and being an American I do not want to pay the cost of the Visa. Sorry I do not make that much money in Ukriane. I have not been the one saying Russia milked anyone. I am saying that Russia does not have a free press (most is state controlled). That is one of my biggest objections against your country. I also believe Russia and Ukraine could get along well if the leaders of both sides would realize that each is a seperate country. Respect the rights of the other country do not try to control them and live and let live.

Famulus01. Study the Russian army updating and you find it is mostly on paper. They have great plans but that is how far they have gone. Implementation of the plans is another question. Also according to economic studies if oil falls to $80 a barrel the Russian ecomony is in deep trouble. New investment has gone down since the Georgian crisis and the market has fallen in Russia. The Ruble fell also. Russia's greatest weakness is it's ecomony based on oil and gas.
Russia's economy is a one trick Pony. Russia's ecnonomy is mostly oil. If oil prices fall so will Russia to a degree. The Silver lining about Russia's invasion of Georgia is that Westerners will be afraid to invest in this insane barbaric nation. Thank God!!

Yushchenko: Georgia conflict shows Kiev needs NATO

The Associated Press
Wednesday, August 20, 2008
KIEV, Ukraine: Ukraine's president said Wednesday that the Russian invasion of Georgia shows that NATO membership is the only guarantee of his country's independence.

Viktor Yushchenko told visiting U.S. Senators Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham that the conflict in Georgia demonstrates Ukraine's need for NATO protection. The Republican senators were on their way to Georgia to show support for its pro-Western leadership and discuss the crisis.

"Our aim is to receive international guarantees of Ukraine's territorial integrity which is only (guarantee) possible in the framework of collective security," Yushchenko told the senators.

Russian troops have been occupying large parts of Georgia for days. They moved in after Georgian forces tried to take the rebel province of South Ossetia by force earlier this month.

Many Ukrainians worry that after dealing with Georgia, the Kremlin might set its sights on Ukraine. Like Georgia, this former Soviet republic has angered Moscow by seeking closer ties with the West and membership in NATO.

Yes- Russia did feed all the Soviet Republics-- but not without the help of the "Bread Basket of the USSR" otherise know as Ukraine. Russia's agribusiness was so ineffective that USSR was bringing American Farmers over to show them how to work more effectively.
People are selling things in the markets? How utterly terrible! YOu silly ass- that is the essence of capitalism. Anyone can run a business for himself. If his garden produces surplus, he can sell it for a little extra money. If he wants to bring items from another region and sell them where they are in demand- good for him. What you, in your brainwashed stupor, perceive as a failing is actually a strong indication of a functioning business environment. Many rich people can trace the beginnings of their wealth back to an ancestor who was willing to do just a little bit more and make the system work for him.
I am sorry that you are unable to understand how free enterprise works. It starts with hard work, not sitting around waiting for the State to hand you everything THEY think you need.

You make no sense as usual.
Just to rebut any possible idea you might have in your skull (if there is one it must be very lonely rattling around in there) I also have a friend who started as a dishwasher. Now he not only owns that restaurant but a whole chain of them.
OH incidentally- you have been enjoying bashing the Polish people. I have made now 5 visits to Poland and will soon make a 6th. I have been quite impressed with the Ingenuity of the Polish people. They have come up with unique and effective solutions for ecological problems which your country doesn't even realize are problems yet.
So far you have hated America, Italy, Russia, and Poland. You are truly an "equal opportunity hater". Who will be next?

:D:D:D Banderovets?! ;) You even did not understand what I'm talking about. I, by the way, told that let them work. But look at their amount... It clearly showes that they just have no opportunity to work in their "independent and wealthy" country. More that I can tell you about plenty of ukrainian tramway drivers in Moscow and so on. If you wanna be independent be! But don't yelp to your big neighbour feeding you so far like pug-dogs or it can pinch your tail!
