Well it is Muslims or Islamic Slavs or mixed cutures there in Bosnia and the former Yugosllavia fighting Christians back and forth , is it not for 7 centuries ? I am often amazed when I ask my wife for the Russian or Ukrainian version of an English word to find that it is the same word modified for the phonemes of those languages.

To get back to "Nu"-- it still means, concerning the long post preceding it, So? What has this to do with anything?

Yes... Nu is multi functional. Nu in Ukr - Russ Like Nu , mi pashli domoi.. Means...( Well,we will go home now). In Yiddish it means So? or What now? or even What's new ? in the USA with american jews. Neet word Nu. Kyxnya is the Ukrainian word for kitchen, not baking, as is kuchen also it's English which has Anglo Saxon roots, they are after all from Germany.
