I repeat- nonsense. You are aware (I am sure) from reading previous threads that the question of Bandera will polarize posters very quickly. You are just asking a leading question hoping to stir up anger and recrimination again. Go away.

There is no doubt in people´s mind, Banderka was a criminal, a killer of innocent people.
Somehow, a minority in Ukrainka still worship him, even these days.

If it only was a minority. These backward peasants worship anything totalitarian because they can't operate without someone constantly telling them what to do. Personally I think at least the dogs would be in somewhat safe in Ukraine was a dictatorship again. Canibalism was banned in that dive during the 30s so perhaps dog eating would too.

Type Bandera into Google, you'll find the answer that way, if you're really interested.

In the memory of his followers Bandera became a symbol of the revolutionary struggle for a Ukrainian state. His legacy has grown substantially since Ukrainian independence, particularly in Western Ukraine. In Lviv a major thoroughfare was renamed in his honour and a large monument to him is being planned. In 1990, a Bandera memorial museum was established in Volia Zaderevatska (Stryi raion), where the Bandera family had lived in the 1930s. The film Atentat (Assassin), focusing on Bandera’s struggles, was made by Oles Yanchuk in 1995.
It doesn't really say much. I would like to have some personal opinions.

He's popular in Western Ukraine, but not so much in other parts of the country, especially Eastern Ukraine and Crimea where there are large ethnic Russian populaions.
In Western Ukraine there are many monuments and streets named in his honour.
The largest monument is in Lviv, which is seen as being at the centre of Ukrainian nationalism
I've seen the monument in Lviv and it is big, people lay flowers in his memory there.

“The nation was brainwashed for the five years of Yushchenko’s rule,” believes Rada deputy Vadim Kolesnichenko.“Actions like this are trying to write-off the sacrifice this country made to be liberated from the Nazis. And they are a result of pro-fascist propaganda like the rehabilitation of Nazi collaborators like Shukhevich and Bandera.”

The truth is in the writing !

Zeli,

may I point out ?
Just look at the above Pouk the fart´s comments.

Every time he gets cornered, faces the truth, he resorts to abuse.
Beware of him. He is clueless, knows nothing, never posted any truth here & abuses folks round here.
Make your own decision.
