Background: EU Trade with Ukraine Flourishes

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union brought independence to Ukraine and shattered the Stalinist economy, the EU has become the country's biggest trading partner.

Politics aside, its nice to see Ukraine's growth is not superficial, like during the Soviet era.

Diversification of trade partners, especially away from Russia, is an important step to maintaining independence and freedom.

The key issues are trade with the EU which is double that of Russia, along with the direct investment from the EU which amounts to over 70% of all foreign investment.

These are the keys to Ukraine's success. Integration into Europe is happening regardless of any other Political games being played.
