1 Medvedev is trying top blackmail Ukrainians by informing them that unless they elect a Kremlin friendly president, that Russia will continue to squeeze the lifeblood out of them. However I think that he underestimates Ukrainians. Most don't give a rats ass what Medvedev thinks or wants. He is not Ukrainian and he has no real understanding of what they really are about. He also is stepping out of his shoes, by interfereing in a soverign country. Russian language in Ukraine, Mr Medvedev, is not any of your beesness. |

1 Interesting thought. Please elaborate on how this squeezing of life blood scenario is expected to occur. Surely you must have a list. We're all ears. |

1 Ukraine has a president with the lowest approval rate in Europe! Yushchenko is absolutely destroying Ukraine to serve his masters in Washington ans satisfy his Russophobia. |

2 here´s my proposal : 1, hire any ukrainko that knows how to paint, most of the russian boats need a new coat of paint. 2, get rid of crack-like shrinkage face now. 3, immediately stop communication with canadian diaspora, these cause harm only to ukrainka. once these points are met, then ukrainka might find much more help from outside and perhaps in 10 years might even apply to join EU. |

1 Medvedev has no legal, moral or other right to issue such a statement to the Ukrainian people. He should keep his nose clean out of Ukrainian internal politics. That is the point. |

1 OK, because you are dumb I will list. 1) Cut off gas supplies 2) Refusal to accept withdraw of RBSF 3) Verbal threats to Ukrainians, ie missles pointed at Kyiv. 4) Anti NATO stance towards Ukraine 5) Duma bill to allow Russian forces to intervene where Russian nations live, outside Russia. Specifically targeting Crimea. 6) Destabilizing Ukrainian currency through Russian banks. 7) Eliminating economic partership programs, such as aerospace. 8) Condemming Ukrainian support for Georgia and threatening economic action or force. 9) Issuing Russian Passports to ethnic Russians living in Crimea. so on and so on. |

2 Don't waste your time, he wouldn't need a list if he knew anything that has been going on for the past, oh lets see, 70 years, that is too much to remember, lets just look at the past 3-5 years. People like that follow their leader blindly and thus do not care if they are right or wrong. It is similar to what is happening in the United States with Obama, people fall over back wards just to agree with Obama even though they are agreeing with the most stupid garbage that anyone can spew! Food for thought. |

1 Well, I guess I'm still dumb. Please elaborate: 1) Cut off gas supplies Have they warned it might happen for non-payment or gas diversion or because they're just big and nasty? 2) Refusal to accept withdraw of RBSF Refusal before, after or during 2017? Are they less nasty, more nasty or just as nasty as we are regarding Guantanamo? 3) Verbal threats to Ukrainians, ie missles pointed at Kyiv. I agree that such talk is over the edge (please cite the occasion) but far less threatening than most threats in response to potential, emerging or perceived threats in deed, word or proxy themselves. You should get a load of what we hear on FOX News everyday. 4) Anti NATO stance towards Ukraine Sure, see how the west behaves with its double standards. Case in point, WTO. Ukraine slid in effertlessly, yet Russia's chain is being constantly pulled, yet we KNOW that there is no fundamental structural difference in their economies. Double standards standing out like sore thumbs. Why would NATO be immune to same? Russia follows a logical course and demonstrates totally human responses in these situations. I would suggest they're even very measured and patient. Of course these things are provocations to Moscow. To deny they're not is pure nonsense. 5) Duma bill to allow Russian forces to intervene where Russian nations live, outside Russia. Specifically targeting Crimea. Good. They're becoming more American by the day then. Isn't that a positive thing? 6) Destabilizing Ukrainian currency through Russian banks. Interesting. Please cite your references. 7) Eliminating economic partership programs, such as aerospace. Well, duh. Do you think NASA should jointly develop a shuttle replacement with N. Korea? 8) Condemming Ukrainian support for Georgia and threatening economic action or force. Good for them. Ukrainian arms killed civilians in a Georgian war crime. Again, they're becoming more like America every day, including the doublespeak. 9) Issuing Russian Passports to ethnic Russians living in Crimea. I admit this is a bit machiavellian but just look at the sneaky things we engage in. Would you like a list? And who cares anyway? Is it any worse than Israel's passport vending machine, for one example? 10) so on and so on. And so on and so on, into your so so mind of so and so's. Sorry, no sale, Seymour. |

1 Actually Obama is quite intelligent. That doesn't preclude his bankrupting the country of course but look at the meatballs the repubs keep shoving at us. It's a joke, eh? I mean if we weren't so big and influential in the world, we'd be a public laughingstock. As it is, they just laugh behind out backs over these two-dimensional meatballs we like to call 'leader-ready'. I'm just happy that someone in the White House can finally string three sentences together without tripping over himself. I'm easy to please ;-) |

1 That's right. He should set up and fund a political action committee in Kyiv to do it for him. America still has lots to teach him. ;-) |

1 You got your "history" mixed up. Historicallly Russia kept insulting Ukraine. Putin:"Little Russia has always been the business of Russia itself." or “You don't understand, George, that Ukraine is not even a state...." and just recently Medvedev pointed out that Crimea is a zone of Russia's "privileged interests". Issuing russisan passports to citizen's of Ukraine in Crimea, and constant meddling in Ukrainian politics and portraying Ukraine to the West as a "failed state" will not be tolerated by Ukraine. Aggressive conversations are taking place concerning Ukraine and the dividing of its territory ... at various levels of the Russian political, military and secret-service leadership. Russia is engaged in a propaganda war against Ukraine, designed to convince the West not to support Ukraine. Russia doesn't understand cooperation with equals, only with subordinates. Time for Moscow to learn that Ukraine is a sovereign country ,not Russia's province. |
