<quoted text>Turkey as a country is less than 100 years old..But Turks had so many other countries in ancient history, with the name Turk in it or without it..
Example Trakia,macedonia,Sumer,oguztur ia...thousands!I can count thousands...Selçuk,Ottomans,Ki rgystan,Bulgaria,Hungary...tho usands..
Had there been Greeks older than 200 years, you could count 1 country of them..
Turkey didn't control anything the Ottomans did LOL.

Also the Greek city states and Greek speaking peoples were in Anatolia and the Black Sea coastline to Sicily and north Africa coastline.

So by your logic Italy, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, Ukraine, Syria, Cyprus, Egypt, Malta and Libya were all the countries that are part Greek.

If you keep on arguing that Greek people are only 200 years old then who defeated the Persian/Turk army in Greece thousands of years ago and came up with mathematics, philosophy and democracy?

It definitely wasn't the Turks. LOL

Turkey has continued the on again off again arty assault against SAA positions since late Wednesday into Friday. Total SAA casualties number 50 plus.

Also 6 mechanized and 4 armor battalions along with numerous arty and support battalions have been moved to within 1.5 miles of the Syrian border. Sure looks like to me a border incursion is coming.

If I was the SAA and PKK and would make sure to get the hell out of there before the Turkish army rolls in.

in the case of war between turkey and syria, i think both sides will be devistagated very bad..and this situation will be so sad for both turkey and syria.

I don't think full scale war will break out, personally I think Turkey will conduct a series of border incursions to drive the SAA 50 or so kilometers back from the border to allow the FSA to have an actual safe haven and also the Turkish military will engage the PKK forces which have been openly using Syrian territory as a safe have for months.

That is just my opinion but who knows.

Six days of cross border shelling in a row and Turkey is moving up more and more troops to the border with Syria.

Full scale war no but border clashes look more and more like a yes.

I do not think there will be a full scale war Triple C and i hope it will be limited with border clashes only... Current corder clashes are understandable under current conditions and Turkey will be responding such violations in accordance with international laws as currently demonstrated... However, considering Turkey's long therm projections, a war is the last thing we need...

On the other hand, you are right, there is a risk of Turkey's larger scale intervene, if it becomes obvious that the free Syrian army can not handle the situation alone and Assad forces start to defeat them, because it is christal clear that Turkey (and its allies) will not allow Assad's regyme to continue any more... In such a case, Turkey may intervene Syria just to clear the land for the free Syrian army by its air forces and missiles (Actually destroying the Syrian air forces and tank troops would be enough) but i am sure the job on land will be handled by the Syrians themselves, otherwise the current government can not explain the loses of young Turkish soldiers to the Turkish people...

Interesting... Thanks for the Turkish point of view.
