Gul recognize the past as genocide? You're kidding me right? There is no way in hell the Turkish Government nor the majority of the country, nor Turks in Diaspora will ever recognize AG. When Turkey is taken to court and it is legally proven these allegations are genocide, then the Government has no choice but to accept. However that is unlikely, because some of the foreign powers that were involved in breaking up the Ottoman Empire by provoking the Armenians to revolt against the Empire..and starting the atrocities between them....are today, either allies of Armenia or have passed genocide Resolutions against Turkey. All guilty are hiding behind their Resolutions to cover their asses. But, archives cannot be kept a secret forever...One has already surfaced from Russia about a month ago and let me just put it this way...it doesn't look too good for the Armenians.

A 100 year old genocide is impossible to prove in any court. Even the Bosnian genocide could not be proven conclusively.....
What is important however is the consensus among world academia (minus 2 or 3 "scholars" on the Turkish payroll one way or the other) that have affirmed the reality of the Armenian Genocide using all the available archives and that includes the German archives(BTW Germany also recognizes the AG) the allies of the Turks in WW1.

If Turkey keeps on its current course of denial all it does is damage its own reputation. Perhaps not in the US where the general population tends to be ignorant of world affairs but not in Europe...... Ask any European (and Turkey wants to be in the EU) about the Armenian Genocide and you will see what they think.......

You do not seem to understand that the desire of Armenians to create a reborn nation should not be equaled to Genocide. This is the same stand you have with the Kurds. If a group does not want to be assimilated by Turks in your eyes they become traitors and open to be killed, deported bombed, and exterminated. You really have to do some rethinking before you offer friendship to Armenians, and before they can actually take you seriously.

Excuse me but I have not offered any friendship to the strangers on this forum.I grew up in a community of Armenians and have Armenian friends regardless of my stance on this issue and am not judged by them solely on my position of the past, regardless of what you may think.I am also part Turkish ancestory and you don't want to know what the other half is! As far as the Kurds go...are you talking about the Internationally recognized terror group PKK that has been attacking Turkey since the 80's and has killed 30,000 people or the 20 million Kurds whom are living with the Turks in Turkey who have denounced the terrorists as did the 5% of Turkish parliament that is made up of Kurds? I think you should be the one to gather your facts and 'rethink' what you think you know or have been taught.

Wait...was there a Greek genocide too?? Really, wonder if it's the same one Greek politicians denounced themselves (the usage of the term genocide)...I love how everyone throws the word around like candy...
Anyone hear the Russian politician (name escapes me) referring to the ethnic cleansing and genocide of the local Russian population in disputed South Ossetia? I mean give me a break...

You don't think for a minute Germany would love to not be the only one tagged with Genocide in their past? They would sell you out in the blink of an eye my friend...

They already closed that file with the Sogomon Tehleryan case which convicted Talat and Turks instead of the assassin Tehleryan for the crime they committed. The court could not use the term Genocide for it was not in the terminology but the description of the events were named later as Genocide in 1948.

now armenia is fcked up by being isolated armenia's borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan is closed, with Georgia the same only left one border with Iran,,which is sanctioned by Europe and US... armenia is unable to have a proper access to the world... we will keep u in blockade forever... yo ppl will die starvin.. the prices in armenia are rising, bcoz of being blocked...
whereas,,, Azerbaijan and Turkey are living their economic boom... blns of dollar comin every month from oil,,,
georgia also gets billion dollar every year for being a petrol transition country.. and u armenians get zero dollar from this..
in Azerbaijan incom per head for this year is reachin to 12 500 USd whereas in armenia it is only 1 800 USd ,,, for comparison i tell you that in Italy this figure is 13 600 USd so our ordinary person is as wealthy as italians.. thanks to oil money...

Armenia has to improve its relations with Turkey and Sargsyan is well aware of that. Dancing with Russia and neglecting border neighbours might be troublesome in the future.

I wonder what Caucassian Alliance Project will bring about
