Well... Actually, i would love Greece to threat Turkey for a war... Pray to God that Turks don't spit on Greeks at the same time... Most probably you all would be drowned in spit...:)))

On the other hand, i really enjoy your paranoidal Turkish threat fear... One of the reason of your current economical collapse... Attempting a weapon competition with Turkey...:)))

LOL...

Real life;

.....The fact that Greece, a relatively small and democratic country with not much in the way of global ambitions, should spend as much on its military as it does is perplexing. In 2006, as the financial crisis was looming, Greece was the third biggest arms importer after China and India. And over the past 10 years its military budget has stood at an average of 4% of GDP, more than £900 per person. If Greece is in need of structural reform, then its oversized military would seem the most logical place to start. In fact, if it had only spent the EU average of 1.7% over the last 20 years, it would have saved a total of 52% of its GDP – meaning instead of being completely bankrupt it would be among the more typical countries struggling with the recession.

The supposed threat from Turkey is often cited as the major reason for such a high military budget. However, this argument just doesn't hold up for several reasons.....

....Turkey has on several occasions proposed a mutual reduction in arms spending, something Greece has repeatedly refused to agree to....

1)actually,is you indeed who is agressive right now not me.
2)there is no fear against turkey, dont overestimate yourself, there is a real situation.turkey has been agressive from the start of your history in balkan area.its you who invaded byzantium, its you who made genocides, its you who made plans for variopoula1,variopoula2 etc.
its you who threat us with casus belli if we increase our sea "borders" according to the law which is absolutelly our right.
3)the reason that greece is a defence country comes from the fact that
a)we were never been agressive historically,we are friendlly people
b)we have so much plenty oil and gas in the whole aegean that what you write seems rediculous, what do we need from your country when in fact we have billions and billions of money in our seas?
4)nomatter how is the situation here right now,we are steal a regional pwer in aegean and balkans.you re talking all the time about numbers all of you turks when actually you dont realise that the best weapons need good hands.sth that is not your advantage and i have plenty of examples for this.
5)greece will not threat you of course, its the other way around as it was always.!!!
6)the fact that you plan exercises with scenarios like "take over an island" ...(what island?!?!?!?!??hehehehe),,,yo u put over 600 000 soldiers in our borders(why, turks are friendlly people....lol),what does it seems?
if you want to damage hellenic army, you must try very hard, but be carefull because at the end you may lose the last thing you have conquered, istanbull.
so,think before you write your comments, that was sth to be proud of,i didnt right it to threat you, dont be afraid.

what an idiot you are, Greek crisies is nothing to do with spending money on military, iti is indeed a global problem caused by international financial instutitions.

Greek will recover son or later and come back as strong as ever.

you can't messure a country's greatness with its military superiority can't you?

Turkey still hasn't won the war against PKK rebels which caused 50.000 lifes, that is our sadly reality doing things and solving problem in a very typical Turkish way. Cyprus is a good exaple, none of countries in the world have recognized our illegal accupied northern cyprus?

not even Turkic countries not even Azeri brothers and sisters!!!

so look at a bigger picture, kendimizi dev aynasinda gorme tavrini inatciligini birakalim

Well.. Keep up this way then, that is fine for me...:)))

Germany and France will be happy with loaning you to buy their weapons and then assign a commissar to assure the payback who will govern your government... I can see the great national pride here...:)))

PS. I am not really so much interested in Greek Army... The war capability and quality appear in battlefield... Even the great war machines of USA and USSR had desperate failures against some tinny nations...

Right, it is also proven during "Anatolian Campaign" in 1919-20 and recently in Cyprus... We Turks always admire and respect your army's capability and quality in battlefields...:)))
