Obama's Iftar Dinner

Aug 15, 2012 Full story: The American Spectator 10

Obama's politically correct spin on Islam grows more and more buffoonish. At the very moment he accuses Christians of waging a "war on women," he casts Islam as a benevolent religion to which the Sandra Flukes could take refuge ...

from The American Spectator:

"He used his remarks at this year's Iftar dinner to praise Islam as a female-friendly religion.'Indeed, you know that the Koran teaches,'Be it man or woman, each of you is equal to the other,'' he said. For Obama, it is the Bible, not the Koran, that reeks of dangerous patriarchy. Obama has mocked the Book of Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and St. Paul's letters, but he would never dare question a passage in the Koran, which he regards as a holy and blameless book in no need of politically correct revision."

This will stop when the Republicans retake the White House. They will never let islam take root here in the US. And no more political correctness for muslims. IF they are terrorists, they will be called terrorists!!!

Is this anti Obama spin Joe, or is he really as bad as is painted?

For someone who supposedly spent 20 years in Rev. Wright's church, either Obama doesn't really understand the Bible, or they both don't; in any event, Obama is an islamic sycophant.

What a absolutely dishonest piece of reporting....before you listen to this out right spin doctor to be nice liar to be correct look the speech up on utube and decide for your self....the things people say when they think they wont be questioned is outrageous..

If one does not like Obama then report his faults truthfully..that will be enough...the 'american spectator should feel ashamed if the only stories they write are lies...

In the American mass media, Obama has no faults, and to imply otherwise could be considered "racist".

"He used his remarks at this year's Iftar dinner to praise Islam as a female-friendly religion.'Indeed, you know that the Koran teaches, Be it man or woman, each of you is equal to the other,' he said," yet in islam, a women's testimony is worth only half that of a man.

The speech is linked in the OP article so I don't see where the claim of dishonesty comes from.

The reality is that Obama tried to lipstick a pig by claiming Islam is doing something positive for women's rights when that doesn't reflect what's actually happening in Muslim countries.

He's obviously pandering for votes from the US Muslim community by telling them what they want to hear.

Whatever he does it will be reported.

It was no different from Bush's speech at the same events during his tenure as president.
