Hello! I'm looking at coming to Togo and working for 3 months, between Nov and Feb. I'm from NZ - just wanted to know, what is life like in Togo?

I know it's a very general question but any information would be great.

Thank you in advance!

as a togolese, Ican tell you that Togo is one of the must welcoming country in the world. The humility, the joy, the hospitality seen in Togo is unequal in any other country in the world.I believe you will be verry happy when you go to visit Togo.

Hello! I worked as a peace corps volunteer in Togo. The Togolese people are very welcoming and warm. If you show that you are interested in learning French (or any of the many, many local languages) and their culture, they will meet you more than halfway. Enjoy yourself!

Many people coming to Togo from United Stated are surprised to see how good Togo is especially Lome, the Capital. People just think every place is wild and they going to see lions, giraffe and others when they land(They watch too much Discovery Channel). They sound so stupid when I hear them talk but it's just an ignorance cause that's all they know and they do not travel. So come to Togo to enjoy the Tropical Fiver! Nice hotels by the beach, watch tribe dances, and see other people. You can rent any luxury cars you want, travel in the country in private plane, eat in any type of restaurant;french, Italian, african...If you ever been to Hawaii or the caribean, you know Togo. You just need a little french in your vocabulary. It is a french speaking country.(and yes, people in Africa speak french and english too and they have Universities) And when you come back, tell your friends who thought Africa is a country that It is actually a CONTINENT!

Ditto on the above. Check with various embassies as well for any job leads, or network with some Togolese in your area if possible. If you're looking to start your own business, tourism is one, or non-profit orgs...or import/export, it all depends.

I just left Togo and one of our teachers from New Zealand will be there when you arrive in Togo. The teacher is in New Zealand right now on her Summer Holiday. I will direct her to this web site and maybe she can give you more insight. Life in Togo is interesting. I spent a year there and was amazed at the poverty and beauty of the coutry. I hope my friend gets in touch with you.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Virgo

Life catches you unawares today but for once you don't really mind. A friend is likely to ring up with an exciting suggestion or you could receive a spur of the moment invitation that's too good to refuse. An interesting encounter is also on the cards, especially when you're brought together through unusual circumstances.
