Good for him. We need more stories about our young people who are actually doing good in the Morning Call. I'm glad there is a happy ending to this story.

What a brave young man to risk his own life to save that of another! Todays youth may have its problems, but here's one that has made us proud!

Good kid!!!
If he's from the Palencar's that I know, he's from a good family, too!
His instincts were to get that child to safety regardless of personal peril, which he didn't consider while doing it.
He's an OLD school hero!

It is so nice finally to read such a great story. It is nice to know there are some caring people out there. I am sure his parents are proud of him.

Just an observation - 16 yr. old and 5 yr. old in the Bahamas -- is the school year over? Anyway, this young man is a true hero.

What a great example of the Lehigh Valley. He should be very proud of himself. Most people would not have been brave enough to do that. What a great story...

Noe that's a great attitude. Sad commentary on society when doing the right thing elicits the emotions shown above.
